This is EXACTLY what scared me to death when we were driving along I-79 & I-80 two weeks ago heading from Erie to State College...I had two deer cross I-80 in front of me but I saw them far enough in advance that I slowed down and you couldn't even see them on the DriveCam video. I only knew the spot because you could tell that I slowed down dramatically.
This was in between I-79 and I-80 when I was leaving Pymatuning last Sunday morning.
Yep - I saw ours at 7:34 AM on Sunday, April 21st. It's just scary. At least with the Rivian I don't see the deer sliding up the hood and into (or through) the windshield like I would with our Subaru or another lower car. There'd be a lot of damage to the Rivian front end, but it will be more like a blunt impact that will likely throw the deer forward rather than up. At least that's my hope.
