I am in an urban area and it looks like the 72kw urban superchargers are not Rivian compatible.

Those, from what I remember when I had a Tesla, fell under the V2 hardware / software.I am in an urban area and it looks like the 72kw urban superchargers are not Rivian compatible.
Glad to see the progress but it's of little help in the southwest. Everyone of the superchargers I've counted on for exploring the southern half of Colorado, areas of Utah, Arizona and New Mexico remain unavailable. Every one of these locations in this huge area remain "incompatible" even once we have an adapter.

I believe that v1/v2 stations, while using the same plug style (not NACS), operate on a different comms protocol that is proprietary to Tesla. With the v3/v4 stations, Tesla moved to the same comms protocol as CCS1 and that's why NACS can work with CCS1/2. So until Tesla updates/modifies the older stations, they won't be available to NACS/CCS1 vehicles but Teslas are backwards compatible with them. Those, from what I remember when I had a Tesla, fell under the V2 hardware / software.
I've also parked in the right-most spot using a regular parking space.I've seen a number of Supercharger stations where I could Four Wheel it and use the back-side of the charger when no-Tesla has gone before....serious...
Nope that is the AC adapter, you need to get the Lectron or A2Z DC adapter.I'm assuming the Lectron adapter won't work?
Lectron - Tesla to J1772 Adapter, Max 40A & 250V - Compatible with Tesla High Powered Connector, Destination Charger, and Mobile Connector (White)

I'm so relieved that you guys are not working at Rivian.tg_cid said:
If I were at Rivian, i'd charge $200 for adapters this year and say "but everyone gets them for free next year."
Extra revenue and helps to let people self-prioritize.
I'd go one step further...
$500 gets you one in April.
$400 May
$300 June
$200 July
Free...2025.
I always thought they should charge for them....data too...but what do I know...I'm so relieved that you guys are not working at Rivian.
Yes I did, or I would have seen nothing north of Boston - no magic docks in the area.Did you flip off the "adapter needed" selector in the app? I did that in your area and found tons of SuperChargers available. There was one near Hookset that showed unavailable but plenty of other options.
Will not work for Superchargers.I'm assuming the Lectron adapter won't work?

These adapters are passive, but they do have a temperature sensor that can trigger the charging to stop. Can any of you rich folks order 2 of the A2Z Typhoon, and then break one open so we can see what's inside it?
Is it completely passive where its really just routing wires? Or is there any active electronic on it?
I have no problems using an adapter if it indeed is passive. Obviously I'd stick around while it charged the first time or two to see what kind of heat rise it would have.
