Mystery Ranch (now Yeti) is awesome stuff for sure. Worth the premium. The non-clothing items I've purchased have been very high quality: Mystery Ranch backpack, duffle bag, Rivian accessories, etc.

I do like their collection. My outdoor gear is mostly Patagonia from REI. I also get it mostly on 20% sale. So I want Rivian sale and want a one with white R1S with dark background. I am too messy to wear white anything around.Hate to say it but most of it is over priced trash. Wouldnt be caught dead in it… and Gary? Really? Cant we so any better than a childish cartoon?

I REALLY want to see a video of someone heating this up with a Tesla flamethrower then using it to demonstrate how tough the Cybertruck exterior is.$70 Tesla branding iron
This is a point Ive kept to myself. I didnt want tk sound whiny. It felt weird that some people got stuff and others didn’t. I didnt need anything but the optics were weird. Also they screwed up my vehicle registration for almost a year and my guide kept saying he’d get me something to make up for the fiasco and it never happened. So there’s definitely a disconnect on how they operate on a customer service level.Rivian misses some opportunities here. I know a handful of people have gotten cool swag bags from their guides, but I suspect most did not. I didn’t. I would have rocked a free t-shirt, hoodie, hat, whoever since I put my 2019 reservation down, and I’ll bet it would have started a lot of conversations (with a raving fan on my side). As it turned out, most of the people I see regularly had no idea about my reservation until my Rivian showed up, and therefore managed to skirt my fan-boying. I cannot imagine the margin Rivian is making on a few t-shirts is worth more than the word-of-mouth marketing they’d get by giving those same shirts out for fee with an ordered (or delivered) truck.
A lot of it is. This particular example is not.I would like to see American made products.
A touch up pen should accompany every vehicle.Exactly. I paid full price on an R1S QM in December. and at pickup we talked about the touchup pens because I was getting compass yellow, and the shop was out at the time. They found one, but instead of giving me the $40 item (with the $100K car), they got out the credit card reader. I love Rivian, I'm a shareholder (too much of it right now...), but it did feel a bit chintzy.
So much stuff sold in the shop is imported from China. From an ethos standpoint, I'd rather the company not support their economy anymore than they currently do through the purchasing of batteries and manufacturing components.I actually like the Gear Shop. I bought a tshirt for $35 and it’s made in the USA and very nice quality. The hats are nice and reasonably priced as well. They also offer another hoodie for $85, made in the USA, and again I think that’s pretty reasonable. The subtle branding is also nice. Im not sure what makes this particular hoodie $150 but I’m guessing it must be much more premium than the average run of the mill since it’s nearly twice the price of the other hoodies they offer.
