I’m excited the are working on more suspension settings, we need something in between soft and sport. I hope the UI changes don’t suck, still fumbling to get the menu to drag up when I need to find settings I don’t use often?

I mean ... don't get me wrong, I'm definitely happy for the parents who need to lock certain doors but not others, and the general incremental improvements are great. Truly. But infotainment and speech to text systems are still well behind the competition (not to mention nav). It'd be nice to see some progress toward closing those gaps.

This is a valid point. Hopefully soon.

Lest everyone seems to forget that at one point in time, you purchased a vehicle and lived with EXACTLY how it rolled off the lot for the entirety of your ownership.

People arguing over 'why can't we get X, Y, or Z,' are a bunch of the entitled people I'd prefer to distance myself from. The same people who would lose their absolute minds if the software improvement presented a bug that irked them (and who don't understand what it takes to QC and release software, especially as quickly as Rivian is).

The very IDEA you can buy a vehicle today, that can incrementally get better, is INCREDIBLE, and I'm here for it!

I want to know what this is.
I searched on the phrase and found this video:

I sure wish R1S had the hardware cable for protecting gear on the roof.

Same. Lots of happy spouses after this release, this was the top feature we’ve been waiting almost two years for. She didn’t like being held hostage just to keep the kids safe.
I stand corrected. I guess I didn’t realize the lock also applied to the front passenger too.

As someone who just came from Tesla to Rivian, I love the Rivian and the software is decent, the main things I feel like it needs is quality of life things. This update adds a lot of those. My main wishlist feature is state of charge arrival in navigation instead of miles.

You are largely correct but people who buy a $100k vehicle will demand that certain issues get fixed such as drain or software issues that brick components. This article hasn't aged as well as people have hoped but they are getting there and new features are a super gift.

So I should be able to download this now, right?

:CWL:
Everyone that asks why they haven't got the update yet is actually moved straight to the front of the update line. Rivian appreciates its most entitled customers ?

The Model A came in one color, folks! Come on! You're lucky they paint them at all. Don't be so entitled!

That argument may have worked in the 9th century Viking economy, but in a thriving market, customers absolutely are "entitled" to express preferences. They also are entitled to love a car while hoping to see improvements in certain systems that are lagging behind others. I doubt Rivian views customer feedback through such a narrow lens.

You aren't missing out. I've never used mine on the T. It won't stop of thief. I originally thought if cut it would set the alarm off...not the case. Just a dumb too skinny cable. Much easier to use the builtin heavy chain lock on my rockymounts rack

THIS 100%

I find myself getting out of the route planner, and going to the charging manager and sliding the percentage slider to the amount of miles so I can see what percentage i"m arriving with. For the love of .... Rivian, please put both in the or the option for one or the other in the app and vehicle navigation.
