I see a lot of threads talking about browsers and streaming, personally I would never use them. Usually have an iPad in the vehicle on trips and just use that if I need to look up anything or burn time streaming.

I just do not see the real need for the vehicle to have these added, what am I missing?

I need another screen so that I can be talking on my iphone, posting messages in Slack on my iPad, while watching "How to be a Cult Leader" on Netflix. It's the American way.

Interesting and I agree with you. Rivian will likely offer some basic connectivity free of charge (they need it for telemetry data and updates). Other then music there really isn't much to sell owners on a paid data plan.

Like you say.. add streaming services and then release the paid plan. Take rate will be much higher.

Yeah and My kid has his own tablet. I personally don't see the point in having this stuff built in to the car. I don't want to spend time not driving in it.
