About time they advertised their truck like a Subway grand opening.

Nice top end payload. Now show us the range and price! 10 days to go ?

Anyone have any idea if shatter resistant glass would be any different than laminated safety glass?
I am no glass expert but I'm relatively certain those glasses are the same.

My favorite part of that sandwich board:whatsgoingon: is the use of the word "ultra". Very technical:CWL:

And how are they still getting away saying it has an exoskeleton? I guess if they consider any outer layer an "exoskeleton", then it works

No silly, it's an "Exosekelton" which is much better. Could that be a deliberate typo for CYA purposes?

Elon continues to redefine and distort word definitions.

Any laminated automotive glass is "shatterproof" due to the vinyl middle layer. If I recall reading correctly in the past, Rivian uses "Acoustic" side glass which is laminated. But I cannot find any current info on that...? What happen to "Bulletproof" glass that Elon talked about?

They continue with this Exoskeleton nonsense even though the press and automotive engineers have weighed in that this is bogus. If you can take off a few side panels and the vehicle does not collapse under its own weight in use (i.e. an airplane), it's not an Exoskeleton, it's just a frickin' frame.

With a 2500 lb payload rating, it's going to ride like an F250/F350.

Doing a quick google search, it appears they expect the glass to actually not shatter and for objects to just bounce off. Guessing it has to be an option as it looks like it's actual bullet proof glass and the windows will be static (can't be opened).

In case folks don't wan to enter the bizarro world that is the CT forum, here is the sign outside the San Diego Tesla showroom that is providing this info, typos and all... On weekends the sign is probably used to advertised the daily soup and sandwich special at a local deli.

Tesla is starting to deploy CT at their showrooms. Supposedly, there is one at UTC Tesla store in La Jolla.

I love how nearly invisibly they added "Deliveries Start November 2023" as if even the poster designer was thinking 'Sure, Nov '23, 2027 maybe'
(yes I know they are actually going to deliver 10 to insiders)

The glass was never said to be bullet proof, just the body
Musk said the glass was unbreakable and even bulletproof to small arms fire. That is what brought us this infamous moment from the reveal.
