We had an issue in August where truck lost power (reduced power) and HVAC system get stuck on heat, high heat, seat heaters on etc automatically on a 90+ degree day. On that day, they asked me to reboot the truck so logs would get uploaded and they could diagnose it.

The appt was setup for late October. It had not happened since so I was content on not taking it in (Chelsea is a 3 hour round trip usually). I get a call couple days before the appt that I should keep my appt, they saw something with Central Network Gateway module. I go drop it off, they keep it for a week and then said, there is nothing in the logs (of last 60 days). I escalated through guide and was told they were trying to load the truck (electronically) to see if they can duplicate the issue. I get my truck back the next day saying it is in perfect health, No problems found.

Power loss before the trip to service center was at or less than 1%. After that I am losing 3-4% every night just parked in my garage,
Truck is locked, proximity lock/unlock disabled, gear guard disabled at home, Garage at 60deg, nothing on seats. I went from 70%- 56% over a period of 72 hours.

Since then I have gotten the latest software upgrade and that does not seem to help.

When I look on the app, even after a period of 24 hours, the truck is ready, it does not go to sleep anymore (after service center visit).

I have put in a ticket, escalated to Guide for the last 10 days with nothing. Anyone here have any ideas on what I should look for. My guess is they left some flag turned ON (may be not exposed to customers) that is preventing the truck from going to sleep.

Any suggestions would be very helpful. Losing money just sitting in the garage brings sadness.

I've had my R1T for only three days, but I think I recall seeing talk of a few examples of a problem with the brake pedal not fully "lifting" (if that's the right word), which apparently prevented the vehicle from sleeping. You might search for that issue in the forum and/or tinker with the pedal.

Let me try that. Manually pull it up before locking the truck.

Close your phone app and make sure your key fob is nowhere near the truck.
Keyfob is nowhere near it and proximity unlock is disabled at home. Even when I walk up to the car with keyfob at home it does not unlock. I have to press to Unlock.

My wife got a new 15 Promax around the same time. Let me kick her off from the keys and see if it helps. I went ahead and deleted all the phone keys. Everyone in the house will have to remember to take the key to go anywhere.

Thanks for all the suggestions.

This is bad for car seats. Rivian should fix this silliness.
The seat belt thing is only the front belts. No one should be putting car seats in front. You can plug in the back ones 24/7 no problem. So yes, that silliness is fixed because it was never an issue.

I’ve got exactly the same problem. I’ve had the truck for one week and I’m loosing an average of 15-20mi when parked every day. The truck rarely goes to sleep. I entered a service ticket. Nothing helpful from Rivian support yet.

This happened to me and it was the driver's seat occupancy sensor.

It thought the seat was occupied at all times.

Have you tried https://www.electrafi.com? To connect the app, I had to add a driver (just used a different email of mine) to create a API token. Then I have changed password on that driver account. It gives me extremely detailed view every time I have passed by with my phone and it unlocked :)

when done for the day I always put it in camp mode then turn off the display which seems to lessen battery drain.

It only effects the front seat. Car seats are in the back. My dog leash tether left plugged into the passenger seat where his highness must ride will keep the truck from sleeping, and drains a lot of battery.

Can we have a SHUT OFF button like other car manufacturers? This way you are telling it to go to deep sleep mode.
