You know, that's absolutely true I forgot that fact. Question; does their nav software give you the option to use non-Tesla chargers on trips?
Measure
100k for a fridge on wheels? No thanks.

I also wonder how that thing will pass any sort of safety testing, the edges look very sharp and dangerous for collisions or pedestrians.
It was already changed from the original for these exact reasons.

I personally don't like the way the cybertruck looks, but the reservation count seems to imply that I may be in the minority on that.
The reservation count is meaningless - that was when the price was announced at sub-$40k (it will be double that) and the reservation fee is $100, fully in "for the lols" territory, and there were no other electric EVs on the market. Now there are several competitive (arguably superior) offerings with a strong track record, and Tesla's brand is not what it used to be.

Hell, I have a day-1 Cybertruck reservation I got as a hedge just in case they fixed the design (or it grew on me), Rivian didn't pan out, etc. None of that happened, I'm 18 months into my R1T and there's no way in hell I'm buying another Tesla.

I think the Cybertruck is going to be remembered as Elon's folly.

As I type this, the Tesla cybertruck page is still advertising 500 mi of range, 3500lb of cargo, and 0-60 of 2.9 seconds. https://www.tesla.com/cybertruck
This page hasn't been updated since the unveil. It still shows the old design, no wiper, structural exoskeleton, integral ramp, marble interior, that ridiculously photoshopped camping render, and other things that have been confirmed to be changed/removed/never existed. There's no chance in hell it's a signal of the production specs. Pure vaporware.

Here's a fun prop bet:

CT Reservation conversion rate, < or > Derek Jeter's career BA. I'm under.

Only a couple more months until "reliable charging network" can't be used to sell Teslas. Arguably, buying a CCS vehicle over the next 24 months will be the best buy; you'll get an adapter, and like 50% more charging options than Teslas.
Modern Teslas can already use CCS stations with an inexpensive adapter.

I'm waiting to see how many CT owners will try cleaning their truck with regular steel wool. ?
The Cyber Truck manual says that only Tesla-approved 00000-grade steel wool can be used for cleaning the exterior and goes on to state in Bold ALL CAPS that using any unapproved product will void the vehicle's warranty and render FSD inoperable . . .

"Trucks" do not have to pass the same pedestrian regulations as passenger cars.
