Finally someone took some interior pics…and another missing charging port door

I’m telling you…they are rethinking that door. Probably why it’s delayed. It’s the only thing I dislike about the truck’s design. It needs to be non motorized and open from right to left.

Another guess could be all weather testing for the port it self to make sure all components are rated for dust and water resistance, nothing melts even if the port door does fail/break. I think it should be dual hinged support rather than just that weak arm with a breakaway snap action that allows it to fall off and be put right back on as "accidents happen".

Or not and it fell off LOL.

As a Tesla owner... Why in the ever-loving hell do you not want a motorized charging door? Losing our motorized charging door would make us very sad.

It’s one more thing to go wrong…it’s a crucial part of the vehicle that needs to work without an issue.

Within a day of interior pics getting posted of a charging Rivian, they’ve sent out an order that all trucks need to be covered when charging! ?

I wouldn't go that far. Maybe they have a surprise in store. Maybe they were testing something. Definitely looks like a decent size awning on the passenger side of the truck or maybe its a Yakima WaterPort...
