Although there is a lot of bad info, he is ultimately praising the rivian and is reaching a different demographic, that is only a good thing.

I hope he continues to show more videos like this!

Whenever I see a truck on wheels like that, my FIRST thought is, "Man....someone is seriously compensating for something that's lacking elsewhere in his life."
Why judge? To each their own. Same way you judge others they might judge you for some of the things you do or use. Who cares? Either you like it or you don’t.

I'm pretty sure having wheels that stick out from the arches like that is illegal. I don't care that they've lifted the truck, his money not mine, but I do car when my car's windscreen gets cracked by all the crap his wheels kick out. I also care that the police do nothing about this sort of thing.

While I'm not a fan of the wheels sticking that far out, I do miss the height of my old Ram Rebel.

Visibility is great when you can see over most of the other cars, instead of relying on seeing through windows and shadows on the ground to see traffic ahead of you.

A normal evolution of a vehicle when it is adopted by the mainstream and then aftermarket companies start embracing it enough to offer accessories and modifications.

I'm quite sure many R1T off-roaders would embrace a well designed front and maybe rear winch bumper, as well as protection for the aluminum body panels

From the comments on the video itself, glad I watched this on mute. That's four minutes of my life I'll never get back. Spoiler: the Rivian wins.

Nothing wrong with it if that's what they chose to do with their own vehicle.
I mean, they're within their rights (iff they comply with the law with regard to fenders and mudflaps, which neither of the pictured trucks do), but it's still stupid and we're within our rights to call that out.

In exchange for your expensive lift, your truck:
  • Is more expensive
  • Is more fragile
  • Is more dangerous (to pedestrians, to yourself, and to other vehicles)
  • Has vastly degraded handling
  • Is vastly less efficient
  • Is significantly less capable off road
  • Makes you look like a tool
  • Is less practical (parking lots, garages, entry/exit, etc.)
On the upside,

No, just no (for me).

But, if this was a 1:18 scale RC truck toy, I’d buy it.

Spoiler: the Rivian wins.
Only thing I was really interested in here was if the Rivian was still limited to 110mph as displayed. They should be able to take it up to 120+ according to GPS with the bigger tire size.

I like raised trucks, but when you have to shove the wheels so far outside the fenders/wheel wells…looks stupid…is stupid, what’s the point a a fender/wheel well? I personally don’t want the shit I drive over all over the side or top of my truck! On a side note, this guy is an idiot…”0-60 in 2 seconds” really dude? He doesn’t even know the REAL specs…Lastly, why you need to flex with the photo bomb of some rich dudes home? That clearly isn’t your residence, do you think we Rivian owners are snobs or something!? SMH…
