Just picked up our R1S with All Terrain 20's. We noticed when changing lanes on uneven or bumpy roads the car seems to bounce around and sway. Sort of like a trailer would act if it was unbalanced. I'm concerned if I had to make a quick steering movement that I may over correct and then really lose control of the car. Do I have to driver this like a baby and no quick adjustments with the steering wheel?

How many bumpy/uneven roads are you changing lanes on? That doesn't sound like a normal road to me.
Do you have lane keep assist on? That tries to keep you in your lane and can make lane changes feel jerky as it takes longer than it should to disengage when you use your blinker.

Try setting the ride quality to stiff and see if that tightens things up over roads like that

Normal highway road with just some unevenness. Don't think we have lane assist on. Not sure how to even turn that on We only had about an hour with the turn over guy and probably didn't get to all the features. Still trying to figure out how to keep the car from turning on in the garage with the phones in the house

Thanks for the reply, Yes the setting was on soft when we first experienced this we have changed to stiff and will see if that helps.

Pretty sure lane assist was on by default for us.
Not in my car to look, but swipe up on the main screen and go to settings and poke around. There used to be a Driver ++ section but it may be labeled differently now.
To me, when I read "Squirrely when making lane changes" this was my first thought.

There's an option in settings (I think settings > vehicle) to disable proximity at an address. This means phones have to open the app and click unlock or use fob. You can also disable proximity for specific fob or phone.

Been other complaints resulting from it. You should see the lane lines in the driver display turn colors when the driving assist is reacting to them.

I think this was meant for a different thread?

If you don't use your turn signal and lane asst is active, the car will fight you a little to stay in the lane. It feels like what you described. As my wife tells me... "Finally, something that teaches you to use your signal!" Ha!

I always use my signal and Rivian's implementation to disengage lane assist takes way too long IMO. If it worked immediately I would probably keep lane assist active.
