Anyone have issues with driver+ and three wheel motorcycles?
Today was the first day day where one was matching my speed in front of me and beside me for a few miles. Driver plus kept thinking it was merging into my lane and didn’t like it. Lots of sudden braking and jerkiness.
I think it was thinking it was going to move into my lane constantly. Anyone else experience this?

Driver+ does that with all sorts of vehicles —. It just trikes. It’s useless, imo.

I swear there have to be different versions of hardware or software in our trucks. I use Driver+ literally every day. I use it in rain, heavy Seattle traffic, rain and traffic together at night, and it is great. Not perfect, but no lane darting, no phantom braking with Highway Assist. Plenty of phantom braking on back roads with ACC, though.

I'm curious - there are 2 configurations of trikes - 2 front, 1 rear (Slingshot, etc.) and 1 front, 2 rear (Harley Davidson, Honda). I'm guessing Slingshot style with 2 in the front?

Get this regularly. Filed multiple service tickets. Every SC visit I'm told "functioning as expected."

Haven't experienced that yet while following another vehicle. But if I pass a right or left turn lane that has cars in it my truck freaks out and wants to slam on the brakes. I sent an email about it with diagnostic logs tagged, so we'll see if it improves in a couple release cycles. It keeps happening, so at some point I'm going to start filing service tickets about it.

That's BS. It's clear to me that your experiences show there is a problem. I'm sorry that you have had poor experience.

Correct. Slingshot style. Rarely see a true trike these day

I agree. I hate this for you. My experience has been 99% awesome and problem free for an estimated 12k highway miles along I40 and i77 in NC.

I'm wondering if it is confused by the shape - looking for a "flat" side of a neighboring vehicle, but sees the diagonal/irregular shape of the Slingshot and interprets it as coming at you...

Since when does “system fault” = "functioning as expected" FFS? This isn’t you saying there is something not right but rather the vehicle itself telling you that something isn’t right.

Curious if you’ve ever gotten this resolved? My truck is in for a second service visit for system fault messages.

Not sure what the problem was for the commodore but I had about four visits, including mobile, until my Highway Assist was fixed. This process spanned about 9 months and two spoiler replacements. The engineering team was engaged on two of the visits. It’s my belief that on the first two attempts, they genuinely didn’t have a solution. The issue boiled down to interference to the GPS signal caused by faulty connection but also compounded by EMI from the bed-camera system in some of the older trucks.

Edited for clarity.

Interesting. Thanks. The engineering team is now involved on mine as well. In short, I’ve gotten several different system fault messages, initially only while using Driver+ but now involving basic cruise control as well. At times the truck cannot hold a set cruise control speed, then errors out and makes me take over. All very random and intermittent. Initial visit was focused on a suspension issue but the problems have continued.

Sounds different. HW Assist availability was the only symptom on mine, the rest of the Driver+ tools always worked including cruise control. Good luck.
