Anyone else running into issues at Tesla chargers with Rivian plug and charge. Mine won’t charge but it does with the Tesla account . Issues at all Tesla chargers including ones I have used before with plug and charge.. Haven’t tried other networks yet.

Just recently? Perhaps check your credit card expiration in your Rivian account. Rebooting is also a good thing to try. And yes. Try it with Electrify America or one of the few other networks that support plug and charge to see if this is a network issue or an issue with your vehicle.

Thanks. I tried rebooting, deleting and re-adding credit cards. No joy.

I had issues on June 24 and 25. Updated my cc but no luck. I had to use the Tesla app to kick off the sessions.

I had the same problem yesterday in Tacoma. I needed to use Tesla app for the first time. Called Rivian support and was told that this is a known recent issue that has been occurring with Tesla chargers.

If you are charging at Supercharger often enough for this to be bothersome, you probably should enroll in their membership and pay less. And since you’re able to charge successfully using their app…

Worth trying at RAN if possible. If p&c works there, then it’s likely a handshake problem between Tesla and Rivian (IT issue you can’t do anything about on your end, and the two parties would likely just point fingers at one another).

One thing I had happen to me when traveling. Used Tesla super charger, charge started fine, then I got in and hit the brake to power up the vehicle and then the charger would fault. But if I plugged in and got in and didn’t hit the brake, it would keep charging. Weird

I'll second this - but know with a membership you have to initiate the charge in the app (pick the charger) BEFORE you plug in. If you don't, you'll be billed by Rivian at a higher rate than you get with the membership.

if there is a known issue with a network it would be nice if Rivian would send out a notification (personally, I'd like to receive a push notification on my phone and perhaps in the vehicle itself) as this is hugely impactful to trip planning.
