Oh you must be new here, you think dates actually mean something....

On a plus side, sometimes the dates not meaning anything work in your favor. June 11, 2022 I got an updated delivery window of Sept-Oct, less than two weeks later the truck was in my garage.

Does anyone have any idea or rumors when pre-march reservation holders would be offered with dual motor options? I heard that we would get something like $2k to $4k savings if we downgrade to a dual motor (standard and performance). I wonder how delivery estimate would change once I chose to go with a dual motor. More delay or less? I wish we would get additional delivery estimates with dual motor options before we pick rather than pick the option and wait for delviery dates to be updated on next cycle.

Similar question too. I'm a pre-March21 (April 19) Max Pack quad holder who switched to Max pack dual standard once I got the "time for max packs to reconfigure" email. For at least the last year my delivery estimate has shown Processing, so no change there yet. I've had a guide since mid-January.

Well I chatted last week to ask about updating my order and ask about shop access. No new information given, but after the chat I got an email say "Sorry you canceled your order". I didn't, and after two calls it still isn't reinstated. That was last Tuesday. So I'm not optimistic that my July-Sept window will be updated sooner since it currently looks like I don't have a deposit down. I guess I should have just sat around and waited.

I placed a reservation 10 days ago for an R1T, configured it 4 days ago, got a guide 3 days ago and got "one step closer" today with the "processing estimate". My guide made an appointment to call me tomorrow morning.

Or are most of you waiting on R1S'?

Does anyone want to venture a guess about their “End-o-April” delivery updates? Do you think it’s possible someone will see dates reaching into 2025? I’m still stupidly optimistic that that all us pre-March reservation holders see an update that includes delivery this year. All my talks with Rivian C.S regarding delivery windows has felt positive and they all mentioned that we should the dates move up from Q4 2024 to something a bit closer. After feeling slighted by rivian in the past, going from Oct-Dec 2022 to 2024, I’m hopeful. Am I just delusional or is there still a chance we could be in the driver seat this year?
May ‘21 pre-order, large pack, quad motor Rivian Blue, 22” wheels. Southern Oregon. Thoughts?

So are you a "pre March '21" reservation holder, or a May '21 reservation holder? Either way, I suspect the majority will see a bomb up in their dates.

We have two reservations. One from Feb of 22 (pre price increase) for an R1S and I just put another one in for an R1T on 4/21.

Rivian tells me delivery timing for R1T is 1-4 mo.

It appears the majority of the pending orders are for R1S. No firm proof, but the general belief is that there have always been more R1S pre-orders than R1T. The SUV market segment in general is certainly much larger than the pickup segment.

Also, realize that everyone has "processing estimate". THat does not mean you are necessarily closer. Three months ago, some people moved back from 2023 to 2024 delivery after processing was complete.
