Clock is ticking for them. Kia with their Ev9 are closer to releasing(estimated 1Q 2023) than one would have thought. I feel like 50% of Rivian's current remaining R1S orders will flip if this happens.

I'll end up pre-ordering that as well and see who delivers 1st...........

You cant currently, its not out. Launch is 1Q 2023, so I assume one will be able to in April of this yr.

My R1S estimated delivery is 1Q 2024

When I was last at the Kia dealer for work on my Telluride in Nov, I asked about the EV9. I was told that they don't yet know when they will be taking deposits. Assume that's still true but will change soon.

Whatever the MSRP is for the EV9, expect Kia dealers to be adding a a very substantial "market adjustment" to each vehicle. Virtually all Tellurides carry a market adjustment of $10k, and since demand for the EV9 will be high, I suspect that dealers will add $15k to the sticker price. If that turns out be the case, the out the door price for an EV9 could wind up closing in on $80,000.

I like my Telluride a lot and am impressed by its thoughtful design and high production quality. I'd normally be inclined to consider the EV9 based on that positive experience. I paid MSRP for mine but the same dealer now charges $10k on top of list for one though, as does nearly every other Kia dealer. Worse, KIa has done nothing to reign in this larcenous behavior, which is at least partly the reason they are dead last in dealer satisfaction per JD Power. As attractive as the EV9 may be, the dealer greed machine has made me a one-and-done for Kia.
