    That's exactly what I was explaining to a friend of mine over the weekend. We literally would've had R2s in our driveways by Q4 this year or Q1 next year if there hadn't been all the protests and legal holdup in GA

    ABRP actually debunked it after I posted, but I swear if Rivian has found a way for the R2 to be a tri-motor setup AND get 330 miles of range SHEESH

    Could be nothing, could be something. I’m sure this is place holder unofficial information and has nothing to do with range & efficiency targets..., but never say never. Either way, I'm loving what I'm seeing. See this thread.

    thank. you. i wish this exactly reply could be posted on every RIVIAN forum, discussion board, and messaging thread imaginable. people want RIVIAN to succeed, but they want it on their terms and they want it to happen now.

    Moving the charging port was a cost cutting measure. RJ said that since the R1s are quad motor they have to have HV cable at the front to charge the battery. But since R2 is RWD the motor is at the back. In order to keep charge port at the front they'd have to run high voltage cable all the way...

    I think what's most crazy is you guys want this company to survive, you want your vehicles supported, and you want to see more people buy Rivian's and for cheaper. But the second they make a very meaningful cost cutting measure (the CEO literally said it was so they didn't have to run HV cable...

    OR he just didn't feel it was worthy of announcing on the shareholder call and left it until today. So far RJ hasn't seemed like the guy to be swayed within a week based upon the stock price/public opinion.

    I mean when GA was first announced, there were no delays. People weren't protesting. Interest rates were much lower. EDVs were still exclusive to Amazon and R1T/S were ramping well. There wasn't a ton of upside to Normal. The landscape has shifted dramatically in the last 12-24 months.
