you didnt hear it from me lol but i got them from rivian...they werent supposed to do it though so doubt many will be able to get this now. however after buying the rims, tpms and center caps the total comes out to $3100 so for an additional $1100 you can get at tires that you could sell for $1500.Yes, also very interested what numbers you see!
Our R1T is due next month (oh boy!!) and we went with 20's for the weight, strength, and diameter of the wheels more than the off-road aspect...though I'd love to have a road AND off-road set ideally.
If it's not rude to ask, where did you source the wheels?
I have done a couple tests from 100% battery and in temps above 80 where I have to have ac running in conserve mode i would get roughly 330 miles at 2.4 miles/kw driving 50/50 highway city. when temps are 70 and no ac i get almost 350 at 2.55 miles/kw and with temps getting a little colder around 50-60 even with no heat i am getting 315 miles. havent really had the heat on too much yet but with the little bit of heat on im getting around 300 miles. What do you have now, what is your efficiency?
Where are you in Va?
What are you doing with what you pulled off?
Your doing EXACTLY what I want to do as spare set - congrats I envy you!
I am in VA in the newport news/va beach area...i am just trying to get more tire options...i dont really tow much and no where around here to do off roading so mostly highway driving. i just look for something comfortable and low noise.
i will weigh the tires if i get a chance but its advertised as 38lbs.Looks like the tire weight will be alot less as from what I can find the OEM tire is 57lbs and OPs tire choice is 42-44lbs?
Is that right?
i looked at all of them...however the only 2 choices where max tire pressure was over 50psi were the pirelli scorpion as plus 3 and continental terraincontact h/t 115h. also the pirellis were rated higher especially in the comfort ratings so I would have went with these anyway. The 38 lbs Scorpion AS+ 3 sounds like a good choice. Did you also consider the slightly heavier (42 lbs) Michelin Defender LTX M/S? I think the Pirelli is better in terms of comfort while the Michelin probably has the edge in snow traction. I'm wondering which one has the better rolling resistance.
