I don't think my shop views in Houston, TX ever differed from anyone else's in other parts of the country. Maybe 1 time.

Minus the mats and crossbars, this is the combo I asked my Guide to switch me to (basically switching from road to AT tires). Ugh...oh well now I get to wait for the R1S.
There's a post earlier in this thread that captures the different areas. I'll see if I can dig it up.

R1T shop inventory and geographic location.

Hi everyone, for those of you that don't want to look back through 800+ messages, the R1T shops are somehow broken up regionally. There is occasionally overlap, but that could be due to either the exact same configuration for unique trucks in different cities, or because the shops are showing local inventory plus central inventory from the factory.

There is no strict schedule to additions to the shop inventories but I've never seen a weekend or middle of the night add. Most adds seem to happen between 9a and 6p central time and there have been adds at all hours in that window.

From the past 10 days of tracking the posts on inventory:
Atlanta/Charlotte/Chicago/San Diego/Washington St/Salt Lake/Minneapolis all see the same shop.
Denver seems to have its own.
DFW seems to have its own.
Mid Atlantic seems to have its own.
South Florida seems to have its own.
Los Angeles seems to have its own.
Pulling this to the end of the thread and adding Los Angeles. Thanks again @Ronin

DFW shop emptied every truck (15-20 of them) instantly last week. Including 4 yellow trucks that were sitting there for days. It was like they pulled the plug, right when I was getting ready to select a truck. It’s been empty since. Weird.

Interesting. I was watching that shop closely and snagged a LS, OC combo last Thursday. Inventory had gone down to 5 (including those four yellows), then they added several more on Wednesday and that is when I grabbed mine.

I wonder if they pulled them out b/c they are no longer rushing to close out the quarter.

Rivian really should open the R1T Shop more broadly... doesn't make any sense that they would have vehicles sitting in the shop multiple days when there are so many people willing to take delivery ASAP.
You would think that would be the case. Even though we have a reservation date of November 28, 2018, we are not allowed access to the R1 Shop because we do not live close enough to a Service Center.

Any idea on what order dates are being invited to the shop? I am a October 2021 order/reservation date.
Just wondering if a delivery or shop invite are in my near future

Did they confirm that was the case, or just your hunch? I still have no idea why you wouldn't have access.

Quick update on my end, LG/OC scheduled for pickup tomorrow!

It's not a hunch that we will not be invited into the R1 Shop. Rivian Customer Engagement sent us an email that tells us that we will not be invited into the R1 Shop because we live hundreds of miles from the nearest Rivian Service Center. The fact that we are very early adopters doesn't really count for anything if we are not close to a Service Center.

Thank you for sharing. That's incredibly disappointing, especially when you're willing to pick it up locally. I'm assuming you've already spammed their social media channels?

No, I have not yet spammed their social media channels, but I will give that some thought. I am a little hesitant to do that as I am already on Rivian's poo poo list. In the same email that told me that my November, 2018 order date meant nothing since I lived hundreds of miles from a Service Center, they also told me that my account had been "flagged". The reason that my account had been "flagged" was that I had the audacity to show the address of the factory as the location where I wanted my R1T delivered. Rivian changed the delivery address to my home address on my Configuration Summary Sheet.

On the Configuration Summary Sheet, it asked for your delivery address. It goes on to say, "Tell us where you'd like your Rivian and accessories delivered". Nowhere does it say, what is your home address?

I am getting pretty disgusted with Rivian. Reading between the lines of their email, they are telling me that I will never get my R1T as orders in and near big cities will always take priority over order date.

There are several folks on this Forum who already have a truck who live 200 or more miles from a Service Center, and whose order dates are more than two years after mine. Granted, I am 300 miles from Atlanta. I don't begrudge those folks getting a truck. All I was asking for was access to the R1 Shop, and I can't even get that.

Thanks for listening to my rant.

It is definitely disappointing reading about your situation, especially as such an early adopter. I think others have suggested emailing RJ himself and other executive level employee's. Their email addresses have been posted previously and should be easy to find somewhere in this forum. Although the email may not go to RJ himself, I believe others have had success getting help with frustrating situations. I get them not wanting to deliver to remote locations without being able to offer service, but you would think they could easily have you sign an agreement that you would be responsible for getting your truck within their service radius if you did need service.

Apparently, your order date is meaningless unless you are close to a Service Center. We are about 300 miles from the nearest Service Center. We have a November, 2018 order/reservation date and cannot get an invitation to the R1 Shop.

I may try emailing one of the higher ups in Rivian, but I think that I might wait and see what happens from stirring up all this crap on the Forums.

Good luck!! I am still waiting as well. Starting to see them every day now around North County San Diego. Back to the thread topic, the San Diego visible shop has had a Launch Edition, Launch Green with 20AT and Adventure Coast interior for 3 days now. Surprised it has not moved or maybe they batched a bunch of them. Would love to see them do that 80 vehicle dump again. That was awesome, but just not awesome enough for me to pull the trigger on a configuration that was not ideal given we are so close to our "end of summer" email.
