The body is bonded to the ladder frame. Front strut towers are integrated with the ladder frame. EtcSo if you are short on time one thing I have been looking at is it seems like a body lift could be done quite easily.
I just remember seeing this picture. main problem would be steering and wiring length then right? The body is bonded to the ladder frame. Front strut towers are integrated with the ladder frame. Etc
With the raise in minitruck popularity, this could be big.one performance spec build with sticky tires, camber, and aero like a NASCAR truck.
I'm open to taking on the carbon/kevlar roof top glass replacement. Would need an OEM glass or cracked one to scan, measure and do a dwg file to send out to those I know who do this......replace the glass with a carbon panel?
if you don't go full offroad race truck dump it to the ground make it a sport truck version of the truck with 4 slicks that could decimate all at the drag strip.
I agree.....road racer, time attack, drift style......Maybe something that plays in to the R1 platform's flexibility and "bipolar" nature of being able to off-road while still handle and perform like a sports car. One long travel off-road build and one performance spec build with sticky tires, camber, and aero like a NASCAR truck.
That'd be like 100 lbs in hardware per inch of lift.So if you are short on time one thing I have been looking at is it seems like a body lift could be done quite easily.
Rivian has a design patent on this.I want to see a bumper with a winch option that retains all the sensors. Something that improves approach angle and that is made of aluminum so it isn't adding a bunch of weight.
I've seen that, but I'm not sure they can patent a bumper that supports a winch? Maybe a certain specific bumper, but not something as simple as a bumper with a winch....?Rivian has a design patent on this.
Yeah! Open up the wheel wells and get some 37's or 40's under it! The reduction boxes would have to be stout though!I'd also like to see portal axles to raise the truck higher and maintain control arm clearance. Should make it easy to maintain torque at the wheels that way with much larger tires. Get the ratio changes right and it'll mean the speedo stays accurate.
