I hope that 24 hour outlet timeout can be disabled entirely. Sucks that it sounds like an architecture issue.
I think it just because even the idle power converter uses energy, it would be undesirable to forget and leave it on and burn power.

Wow. Some serious updates in here. Still loving the cadence and release notes.

Camp mode is finally here and huge, especially disabling all the sounds and lights and proximity unlock while allowing you to keep BT enabled to play music on the camp speaker. I'll be camping 2 times in the next 3 weeks so this is especially timely for me.

Heading in the right direction with another 10% reduction in vampire drain.

They reduced the speedo cushion by half to 1-2 mph from 3 mph which is more in line with what I prefer.

I'll be curious if the alarm sound is active now with this update. Seems unclear from release notes but hopefully it finally is.

Lots of other good tidbits in here. Can't wait to get it and start tinkering.

By choice? Or you don't have any updates available in your truck when connected to wifi?

I would have thought 2022.27.2 would have been pushed out to everyone, by now.
Nope...I still don't have 2022.27.2, or, now, the latest 2022.32.0. I always seem to get them way later than everyone else for some reason.

I don't understand the speedometer cushion thing. Why do they not just display the correct speed? Why the initial 5%??

Call CS, they can push the updates to you…had a mobile SC visit and had them do it for me to get last update.

It's a liability thing. Vehicle manufacturers don't want a chance of speedos reading low and owners suing them to cover speeding ticket costs so they instead put in a slight cushion. Very standard practice in the auto industry. BMWs in particular are notorious for reading quite high historically along with Honda and Toyota.

Thanks, was trying to find out why, and kept hitting "this manufacturer does 10% while this one does this" without explaining.

Curious if Rivians are dynamic, in that they calculate the speed according to the rim/tire profile shown on the screen, and if so, if they would allow you to at least alter the wheel profile (likely only to other OEM rims) in the future

Happy to clarify.

I am hoping for exactly this as I'll soon have a set of 21s for daily commuting and longer non-4x4ing road trips to go with my 20s. Right now it can only be done by Rivian Service but hopefully at some point it can be changed by the owner. I presume some legalese will be involved if they ever allow owners to change it themselves.

Yeah, I can't say I am anxious at the front of the line for this one ? I'll be glad to wait for 2022.31.2.

They have 835 (hp) reasons. But in seriousness, it's not uncommon for a lot of vehicles to have some offset.

I knew those were flood lights in the mirrors!
Are the flood lights the same light that shoots the rivian logo on the ground or are there other lights I'm not seeing? I've inspected my mirrors twice now, I don't see anything else.. ?‍♂

Edit: such an amateur , I see them now. Thanks @DaveA

Two led diodes in the forward facing part of mirror near turn signal lights. The Rivian logo ones are puddle lights.
