First look at @ “Introducing the R1 Shop” -- Rivian website to shop for R1T that delivers in 6-8 weeks

When I initially got the email welcoming me to the shop I thought I had won the so-called Rivian Lottery, but it's become very apparent that the shop is no longer exclusive and it appears many (if not eventually all) of us will be watching the shop at the same time.

When I initially got the email welcoming me to the shop I thought I had won the so-called Rivian Lottery, but it's become very apparent that the shop is no longer exclusive and it appears many (if not eventually all) of us will be watching the shop at the same time.

From Rivian's perspective I would think that's what they'd want. More eyes = more chances to move the inventory. You'll have a certain percentage of people who won't want to wait for their allocation.

That said, this is a pretty small sample size to measure. Even on reddit I haven't seen an uptick in people who have been given access. And it seems like just as many folks are either selecting from the shop or signing off on their build which will remove from the pool as well.

Seems to be working 2 of the 3 trucks around this afternoon just got snapped up. All that is left in PNW is the limestone on dark 22s. Hopefully a new crop of trucks start popping up.

I’d suspect this is an abandoned truck and it will be snatched up quickly with the 20”s AND the spare!

No, I had access to the shop for 11 hours without ever receiving an email.. lost access the same day I got it, my config was also unlocked. Called my guide who said “tech issues” with my profile and will be fixed in a day or so. Then 2 days later 8 step opened up and I can see a VIN number now.

I’m still waiting for my Rivian Blue / Ocean Coast / 20” AT truck… just watching the Shop anyway. I could potentially be convinced to skip Ocean Coast with a Rivian Blue / Black Mountain, Launch Green / Black Mountain or maybe even Red Canyon / Black Mountain ?‍ Doesn’t seem too likely with how bleak the Shop selection has been.
Only truck on the Minneapolis shop currently is the Forest Green / Forest Edge / 20” AT w/spare truck.
