I'm holding out till 1) I have a new contract, and 2) they'll let me go to the factory. Number two is actually a want instead of a need, TBH.
What's wrong with your current contract? Do you mean your buyers agreement or actual sales contract?

My work contract didn't get renewed (DOD is a fickle creature about priorities when administrations change).
That makes sense. I was in a very similar position waiting for a renewal from the DoD before feeling confident pulling the trigger (on the green suiter side) and it came through about 2 days before my guide was assigned. Kismet if you ask me.

Mine is scheduled for Wednesday afternoon in Greenville!
Have you had an EV before the Rivian? If so what's your feel for the charging situation in Greenville? So far looking on Plugshare it does not look very impressive.

There's an EA at Sam's Club in woodruff / 385, otherwise a decent amount of chargepoints in garages downtown.

Is this home delivery? I'm in Taylors and expecting mine in December, unless the 'employee friends and family priority system' actually expedites my order :CWL:

I have a model S I bought in 13 when literally I would get flagged down at stop lights almost every time I went somewhere because no one knew what it was and a model X I got in 16 when they came out. Probably my biggest concern is having to see if I am heading back to 2014 charging logistics when stepping outside of the Tesla ecosystem. Plus I have really enjoyed not ever paying to charge when I travel with the Tesla’s. Whether it be to the coast or down to Florida etc.

I hear you. Hopefully that RAN station that's templated for Greenville gets built sooner rather than later. I'll be driving back and forth between Greenville and Charleston every weekend so I'm going to need something for quick topping off before I head into the charging abyss between metro areas.

The early days were an adventure. There were no superchargers and the car didn’t know where the then-spotty locations were. On the positive side the public places that existed were free, open to use, and usually in a location that made handicap parking users jealous.

Itā€˜s to my place of business. Have you seen one in person yet?
Yeah, we saw a green one downtown Greenville in the Richardson garage a couple weeks ago and a red one at Southern Growl yesterday.

I just need Costco to partners with one of the DCFC companies and start putting chargers at every Costco like they have gas pumps. I'd literally plan my road trips around Costco and hit the food court at stops if they did this. As much as I hate the Costco on Woodruff, I'd go there for a quick charge and grab a chicken bake and sundae while I wait.

The red one was probably the same one that was at Cars and Coffee yesterday. It’s more orange than I thought it would be which I actually liked more than a traditional red
