It’s a bit confusing why a front PPF job is gloss but a full PPF install is stealth.

Agreed. Not sure why you can't get the full body in gloss but makes sense why the front-end option is gloss only. You wouldn't want a half matte, half shiny truck!

Xpel Stealth = Satin. Here's a pic of the Stealth PPF Model 3, obviously darker than LA Silver, but a satin PFP over a silver tend to give it kind of a liquid silver look. But, all of this is very much a personal choice, I was toying with the idea of just wrapping one panel on my Limestone in Stealth, just to see how it looks. I'm not a wrap installer (it's a real skill), but can figure out one of the flatter panels.

I would love to have been a fly on the wall during the meeting with XPEL leadership.

A partial gets gloss film and a full wrap gets satin film. Seriously? I can almost guarantee this is going to change in the upcoming months. Potential full wrap customers will demand a gloss PPF option.

Have you seen the satin (stealth?) wrapped Limestone in the Limestone photos thread under General Topics? It looks fantastic!

That's the only reason, but I don't know why they're not offering 3 options, all gloss, all satin, or just front gloss. You can add a comment to the form, I'm sure they'd do it, the actual raw material cost of satin vs. clear is negligible.

I did exactly that when I submitted my inquiry, lets see what happens. If nothing else if their local shop is different from the one I talked to this week I'll get a second quote.

All matte should also be an option.

I've been waffling between Rivian Blue and Compass Yellow, but first choice has always been matte black. I honestly just didn't want to pay for a matte black wrap, but I think $4500 for full PPF is pretty reasonable and now I'm strongly considering Midnight + full satin wrap.

If matte were a choice, I'd be all in on Midnight + matte full PPF.

Decent video on matte vs. satin:

I really need to see FG with the Stealth PPF before I get a guide assigned because EC looks SO EFFING GOOD that I might be changing my color choice unless I think Stealth FG looks better.

So this would be applied at the factory? Or aftermarket special pricing through Xpel vendor?
