Well as of this morning, my pricing and configuration reverted back to pre-Mar. 1 and it now shows as being "confirmed." I think this is a good sign, buuuut I still don't have a guide assigned to me. There is now a button to click to contact my guide (which is also new as of today), but it just sends me to general customer service. Hopefully this means they are in the process of assigning a guide and then I can get some clarity on timing, etc. Fingers crossed...

I noticed that every now and then when I click the button, it gives the normal customer service number, and I have to click again for my guide info. Might be worth a try.

I've only had a guide for 24 hours but this happened to me this morning as well. Guide info disappeared and hasn't shown back up. Emailed my guide and she did assure me that she was still my guide. Might just be a hiccup in their system right now.

Hello everyone,
I would like to meet some Rivian fans who are waiting for their Rivian or who have received theirs.
This is for a Radio-Canada story about Rivian.
Anybody willing to talk to me ? I will be in the ATL area this week.

I swung past the temporary SC and overflow lot today and there are at least 50-60 trucks in total between the two locations. Was nice to see colors in person, and they had everything except for red, yellow, and limestone.

I guess the hold up for most of us at this point is just the team there needing to look at each truck and clear it and then we would be able to set up a time.

Whoa... I went from test drive on Saturday, to config locked on Monday, Guide assigned on Wednesday, to call with Guide and PBA signed this afternoon. Guide said the truck is en route from Illinois, but I'd guess it's actually already here given the volume I saw today.

Now waiting to become an 8-stepper...

I have been on a similar path, although my guide said it was in Atlanta. He also told me that now they don't open the 8 steps until the truck is ready for delivery, so don't check your email too often!

Maybe it's due to some of us having been stuck in purgatory forever :)

Now that a few of you have taken delivery, did you all finance through Rivian/Chase or another bank? I’m sure the process is smoother through Rivian Financial, but I’m pretty sure I’ll get better rates elsewhere (although I haven’t confirmed that yet since my 8 steps haven’t opened up).

Curious how much of an impediment it is to use another lender. Any experiences are appreciated.

Delivery scheduled for Friday afternoon! There is still an open item in my 8-step process, though, so maybe that gets pushed back. Who knows.

Just as a heads up, the financing piece is a little clunky if you don't use Chase. If the rates were close, I would have used them for simplicity's sake. But they were 150 bps higher than BoA so not even in the same universe. Since I used BoA, I needed to sign the purchase agreement and send it to BoA, so they can then complete the loan docs for me to sign. After that they'll send a check (a check!) to Rivian, and then clearly someone has to process that payment and assign it to my account. BoA said they'll expedite everything, and the payment gets overnighted. So hopefully it's all in place by Thursday so that Friday is smooth sailing.

The 8-step process does allow an option to upload an image of the check and the tracking information, which presumably suffices as proof of payment. But BoA will not provide either of those for anti-fraud reasons.

So I'm in purgatory now, but it's not Step 8 purgatory because it let me pick a date.

Congrats! I take delivery tomorrow, and ended up doing both Rivian insurance and Financing because that was super easy. The rate was a bit higher, but worth it, and I can always refinance. I was through all 8 steps in about an hour.

Yeah, that sounds like a bit of a PITA. Too bad Chase was so far off on their rate. 150 bps?! yeeesh!
