I have the 22s and like them a lot. One thing I'll say now after having my first electric vehicle for about 10k miles in the Southeast, we obsess way too much over smaller differences in range. Unless you have a specific location, or charging station stop for long trips that you think you need...
16 made the cut. Used it one the way to and from HHI. (I actually haven't been on an interstate between GA, TN, FL and the Carolinas that didn't). I think it works pretty well, but agree the last update seemed to make a little more confident in curves, a little less scary passing semis on the...
You’re right. A nailer is all I was hoping for, and I bet the duty cycle wouldn’t go above 50% based on my usage. I think next time I want some remote nailer work I’ll get a tank And try that. My ”portable” compressor is too heavy to lug around.
One of the uses I was hoping to get out of the air compressor was using it to power light duty air tools. Today I tried it with a nail gun and was excited when it got up to pressure very quickly and allowed me to drive 3-4 nails. Unfortunately, it looks to me like there’s no way to set to stay...
Nothing fancy, but I’ve done this before with vehicles that would never be integrated with garage door opening. I’m doing this until Rivian adds the opening softwareIt’s a 3M command hook adhesive. I’ve put it where you won’t ever see it, but it’s easy to reach.
My delivery guide said that the gear tunnel doors were made to “re-engage” after a little bit of time…I remember 3 seconds, but not sure. The idea was that the screen button would be used for someone else standing at the door and starting to open it for them, not opening it from the screen then...
Congrats! I take delivery tomorrow, and ended up doing both Rivian insurance and Financing because that was super easy. The rate was a bit higher, but worth it, and I can always refinance. I was through all 8 steps in about an hour.
I have been on a similar path, although my guide said it was in Atlanta. He also told me that now they don't open the 8 steps until the truck is ready for delivery, so don't check your email too often!
I noticed that every now and then when I click the button, it gives the normal customer service number, and I have to click again for my guide info. Might be worth a try.
Seeing several in the May-Jun get configs locked today, I checked mine. I have a guide named and config locked! Now let's just see if I can have the patience to not call him before he calls me. It would be so much fun in this final step to have an "under-promise, over delivery by a month or two"!
It's Launch Green. After seeing it, I'm really excited about the color. I wouldn't say I've been on the fence about it, but have been not totally locked in. Looks like the sun came out by the time it got to rivianUGA.
I’ve had to actively tamp down my excitement level thinking the same thing regarding delivery soon. My test drive person almost seemed surprised that I had not heard from a guide—or maybe that was wishful thinking on my part. I’m a July - Sept, but I’m also a mid 2020 order so crossing my...
Just finished mine. All expectations met, and a boatload of fun. The Rivian employee was awesome, and we had a great time. I was keen to test Driver+ on 400, which I got to do for a mile or so. Worked similar to what I've seen in my Acura, which I thought was great, but I'm looking forward to...
I've spent more time than I'd like to admit considering this very question, with a lot of the same reasons already listed. I drove Tacomas since I was 16 (actually, my first was just a Toyota Pickup, pre-Tacoma), and just recently switch to the F150. Although the size has advantages, I just like...
