I'm 6'1 and drove plus sat in all 4 seats. Had no issues with legroom. Legroom in the rear far exceeded what my Defender has (probably reasonably so since it's a 90).

As for color, I test drove on an overcast day in Seattle with LG and liked the way it looked under the cloudy skies.

It became my favorite too! I just don't have access to it. Lol

Here's a picture of FG from the First Mile Event in Normal. It was early morning on a sunny day, so you can see the contrast between the front section in the sun and the side in shade, which looks darker. There is a lot of flake in FG.

It looks sharp. I don't think I'd do El Cap, with the black cladding and BM interior I'd need a bit more color to spice things up. So it pretty much down to FG or Silver and I think the FG has a bit more character than the Silver.

The only real complaints I have are:
1 - There's something that rattles right behind my ear on the left when driving. I think it's something relating to the little panel that sits over the rear side glass to allow cargo boxes to be mounted on the side. It drives me crazy, but I haven't been able to figure out what is making the noise. Doesn't happen on the other side. I'm sure this is fixable, but lately I don't drive enough to care.

2 - The back seats don't fold all the way flat. This was a huge problem when I was with my ex and we had a dog. Just made it hard for him to sit back there without constantly having to adjust due to the seat incline.

Outside of that, I have loved it. Done some pretty serious rock crawling with it (as serious as you can get without an extremely modified vehicle) and it destroyed everything I threw at it. Ride is good, power is good, though I wish there were a bit less roll when taking turns at speed.

Overall I am very happy with it, and it certainly attracts a decent amount of attention. It would have been nice not to have to pay a 5k dealer markup last summer, and it would be nice if LR accessories weren't absurdly expensive, but you've got to know you're signing up for that kind of stuff when you go with a luxury brand.

Anyway, I know without doubt I'll love the R1T more, but for the money it's a hell of a vehicle (assuming you get it off surface streets once in a while).

Thank you for sharing. We saw a Rivian Blue last week on I5 south of Red Bluff, CA.

We were out walking the dog this afternoon in the neighborhood and outta nowhere I saw a Launch Green R1T cruising by on residential streets! Recognized it right away (told the wifey "omg that's a Rivian! a Rivian!!"). The pup was sensing my excitement and was on high alert? . Thought I'd anticipate where it was headed (Coffeeholic, the best Vietnamese coffee in Seattle) and walked towards there. Lo and behold, the vehicle was parked about half a block away.

Handed the dog off and started jogging towards the vehicle. Approached the two guys standing around it and discovered that they were Rivian employees just wrapping up a day of Mobile Drives! I thought those were done, but apparently they've started them back up? Good to know :).

Anyway, they were kind enough to let me walk around, take photos, even sit inside. I concur with prior impressions of the interior being premium without feeling luxury. The vehicle was in standard height mode and at 5'11" I found it pretty easy to get in and out (although I was so excited I might have unknowingly jumped up into it and thought nothing of it).

I also found the frunk access to be really easy. Had a discussion with them about how I was concerned about that and would have preferred the opening style of the Lightning, but it didn't feel very difficult at all to raise and lower things into the frunk even at standard height. The fit and finish was also good, did not notice any blatant panel gaps.

I found Launch Green to be pretty muted under Seattle's overcast skies. Definitely looks more gray from afar, but the green starts to show up once you get closer. I took a few shots as it drove away to give you guys a sense of that. There isn't any metal flaking to the paint either, although there is a gloss finish so it shines beautifully. Personally it is giving me some pause - I think I want to see Forest Green before making my final choice.

All phots uploaded except one video which is too large. Boo hoo. Enjoy!

The launch green I saw at the test drive event had LOTS of pearl in it, glowing in the sunlight. I agree you might not see it too well during cloudy days, but it's there.

That’s interesting, and another reason I need to see the two greens in different lighting. LG was flatter than I expected, but my “pearl-o-meter” is set pretty high as it is with a Lexus RX :CWL:.

Yes, it's definitely a very light touch of pearl. I saw many yellows, pinks, too. It would look a little flat under clouds. But I live in SoCal and we hardly have rain.

Thanks for posting, but I will stick to my Glacier White color choice. Dark colored vehicles just don’t appeal to me.

That is the color and wheel choice I went forI I would have gone LE Green but I was a little late to the party. The new pricing model was going to charge $1500 for the glacier. WTF, what with that not having any metalic anything in it? At any rate, since cooler heads prevailed, I'm back with the Glacier.

That's exactly what gives me pause. The green is juuuuust dark enough that it definitely gives us pause in that environment.

I'm honestly a decent bit concerned that I won't get to see the colors before purchase and/or they won't let you change colors w/o the increased price now. I always figured I could change it before it locked and I know the blue is polarizing in person.

It wasn’t quiiite as dark in person. Hard to capture properly. And I didn’t notice until after that I’d bumped the exposure dial on my camera. So this has been pulled up a bit.

I’ve had….three dark green vehicles now, including two BRG minis. Rivian’s forest green is bang on.
