The angle version of Adventure Pilot is forked from Lukas' xnor build, so when up to date the adventure pilot version will have the same functionality plus their added features like cruise resume and the new mads engagement/disengagement.

Models can be a bit personal as they seem to function differently for everyone. My go to is GWMv8 or 9. @gerrylum likes DTRv6.

You are not alone. There is definitely a little bit of a learning curve, but this will help. You have to install uncle Tony’s adventure pilot stg-a branch for angle base driving. do a reset and Type this URL into your comma for custom branch installation.

Just be aware the stg-a is not up to date with all of the latest angle changes that are in the xnor-tech angle branches, including the latest angle cooperative steering changes so the Cooperative steering experience is not as refined.

Just received my extreme kit yesterday and am prepping to install today, and a few questions are occurring to me as I read and search for instructions.
I've got a gen1 r1t I'm installing it in, with comma3x + obd II power + longitudinal upgrade, running sunnypilot stable build (iirc). I also did a power wire movement in a harness that was recommended I think to avoid some issue with the obd II supplied power or something for the axm.

1) Instructions- are there guides/instructions out there for the extreme kit? Searching brought me to this thread, but not to a guide.

2) I see a lot of comma4 mentions in here, but no comma3x, which has me nervous- did I miss a key detail that comma4 is required for the extreme kit somewhere? (I hope not!)

3) With the fuse shunt included, and what looks like a complete replacement for the axm harness, and a single wire feed to the comma, it looks like I should be ripping out basically everything I have currently installed, save one of the two usb cables I have running to the windshield. Does that sound about right?

4) I've seen mention of two different software builds (xnor-tech and adventure pilot) that I will need to switch over to for angle based to work. Sounds like xnor-tech is the one where I'll have fresher support. If there is a guide somewhere I'm missing, it'd be great to see a list of builds that work with it and a description that would guide the choice.

1). The installation process is identical to the basic harness.

2). No, the extreme harness is compatible with the 3X and the 4.

3). Yes, you need to replace everything you have installed. You can still use the obd II power if you want, but the fusetap is a cleaner install.

4). Right now those are the only two forks that will work. Xnor is more up to date right now, though I expect Adventure Pilot will be brought up to sync soon.

From the video I saw, the fusetap install was to go in "slot 34", but I couldn't find any mapping of what that referenced, so I picked a 10A fuse and removed it to substitute w/ the tap. Seems like everything's working. Wondering now if there will be a secondary market for my longitudinal harness I removed.

I’ve noticed after my extreme developer harness installation including fuse tap, I’m getting this random false alarms going off on my R1T. I’m tapped into F 34 on the passenger side. This has happened a few times as well when I was using the comma AI branded harness, even when I was fused tapped and isolated the hot wire. It might not even be related to the comma ai, but I’m curious if other people have noticed this sort of behavior and have some sort of fix.

If you are installing the Extreme kit, you will only need the ODB USB cable. So the aux port on the side of the comma 4 will be unused.

Yup that's what Kaos was saying. You only need the one cable going up to the Comma.

If by 'angle upgrade' you mean the Extreme dev kit then, no, it only uses one USB cable.
