I got the order invite on 6/16 and finalized my order and deposit same day, but I got an email from Rivian today saying "it's not too late to finalize my order and still be in the first wave."

Anyone else get the same?

I also received the invite on 6/16 and immediately placed the order and made the deposit. I did not receive the same email as you however about it not being too late.

Does your Rivian account or app show that the order is confirmed and the deposit made?

I got the same email. I logged into my account to be sure that my order was still there. It is- I ordered on 6/17. I'm bit puzzled though as to why they sent me this email...

Switched my order to the black interior seats. I feel like I might not see a delivery for Gray interior until like September or October if the orders won’t go in till August.

I ordered on June 11th and didn't get my VIN until June 18th. This is also a holiday weekend, so maybe that affects it?

Why is there no love for the midnight color?

There wasn’t much love for Midnight with R1 either. People want color on their vehicles hence launch green and Catalina Cove being popular.

I was at a legacy car maker dealership yesterday and I was told that, at least here in Las Vegas, they mostly sell white and silver cars, and some grey. They don't order a lot of vehicles with other colors (and I saw no black ones) because they don't sell well and sit on the lots for too long, which they then have to pay for.

Man that is so wild to me. I can't ever picture owning a white or grey car.

Catalina Cove was one of our choices (we currently have two blue cars) until we saw it. It was a non-starter for us. The wife was torn between Launch Green and HMG and chose HMG… well will chose it when we get an invite

Yea, I’m also wondering if they send out VIN allocations in batches on certain days similar to order invites?

We were torn between Launch Green and Catalina Cove. Then we had our demo drive and they only had Half Moon Grey. Seeing it in person changed our mind. HMG looked fantastic. Still wish Limestone would have been an option though

HMG is good, the order stats on this site show 80% for Launch Green and Catalina cove and 1% midnight.
