The UItium vehicles I was in (including Honda prologue) had way better ride quality than any model Y I've ridden or driven, so you're wrong. Their forums don't complain about ride quality, yet even Juniper owners still do to this day. Legacy makers really know how to build a car, Tesla does their own thing and they come up short in a few areas.

I am only believeing what I personally experienced with ride quality across various cars including Y refresh. You saying "Tesla has leapfrogged the competition in ride quality, noise, etc" and defending Tesla at every opportunity already tells me everything I need to know about your dishonest arguments so I am setting the record straight.

I bet they could transform the CT platform into something more people would buy. The mega cast thing for the body is probably the biggest barrier, but if they could modify it enough to build a big SUV, and then put nicer looking panels on it, and I bet it would be a big seller. For the right price, of course.

if they make it look normal and it starts at $50k instead of $79k like Cybertruck and don’t use the cyber name it would do well. Cybertruck is completely destroyed from a branding perspective.

Model Y is just too common. It’s the new Lincoln town car. Good on them for selling so many. It’s not for me. Until there’s an actual cosmetic refresh, I wouldn’t give it a second thought.

The CT is as impractical as it gets. The only purpose it serves currently is to make a statement. It contradicts everything about owning a pickup.
Don’t get me started on the three roof rack crossbars. Oof!

Sorry but Cybertruck is actually an amazing vehicle to drive and use as a truck. But the brand has been obliterated and everyone associates it with Elon and politics now and the cost is too high for mass adoption anyway.

Terrible off-road reviews. Doesn’t fit in most garages, blocked rear window, single massive wiper, faulty body panels, poor visibility through windshield. Forget about finding parking in any metro area.
The tech would have been better-applied to an actual pick-up truck, meant to do pick-up truck stuff. Definite swing and a miss here

edit: I forgot to mention the inability to get stuff out of the bed from the side of the truck. Unless you’re like 6’10”

You have obviously never driven one. It’s great at all those things. You’re repeating talking points of other people who dislike it and have never driven it. Two of the wraps I’ve designed are on Cybertrucks that have been off road for months in places like Moab.

Longer bed than standard F-150 but overall dimensions are exactly the same. If Cybertruck doesn’t fit in your garage neither would other full size trucks.

No comment on the lack of side access to the bed, lack of rear view mirror, inability to mount anything on the roof unless you build a truly massive rack on top (a "superstructure" really), or unibody-and-glue construction?

It's a shame the rest of the technology is so good because not even a mother could love those looks. It just begs for attention in a way that I can only describe as embarrassing, personally. But I suppose so do the big lift kits, mud tires, offsets, truck nuts and overlanding rigs on any other truck so I guess it fits right in to that crowd in its own way.

I can’t reach in the side of any truck without climbing onto the tire and stretching. That’s such a weird thing to try to argue about.

I took my rear view mirror off because it has live camera view on screen all the time which can see way more than a rear view mirror. Do wish the camera was on the roof instead of tailgate but that’s only been an issue the few times I’ve hauled large stuff with the tailgate down. Still have side mirrors, which is no different than if you are towing in any car and can’t see anything with the rear view mirror.

I can put regular roof racks on if I wanted to. My friend has them and they’re quite useful. I just haven’t needed them.

No issue with body panels here or any other Cybertruck owners I know. There was a recall for the cantrails on the early ones but I’ve seen similar recalls with several vehicles with parts coming loose.

The only real issue Cybertrucks have had in large numbers is PCS failure (which just happened to me weekend before last), and I’ve always criticized Tesla’s camera based auto wipers, but that’s not a Cybertruck specific thing though.

Hate the looks all you want but it actually is a very good truck for truck stuff.

If Rivian had a longer bed I probably would have considered R1T. I hope Rivian’s steer by wire patent makes it into vehicles by the time R3X is available.

This statement is inaccurate. Despite the unique look it is about the most practical consumer pickup you can buy. More space, more hauling capacity, towing, speed, handling, turning radius, efficiency, etc. Also the safest pickup you can own.

This is not true at all, only Tesla picks different sources for different years. RAV4 beat Tesla in 2024 if you pick the same source Tesla quotes for winning 2025 for example (JATO)

It's my experience, not saying it's the gold standard but if you look at top complaints about model Y Juniper, it's still ride quality. Edmunds doesn't count since they're in California where all cars ride comfortably. Just look:

A+ isn’t even close to ready for prime time. I was driving home late the other night after getting . I was on a soft bend on the 101 when it disengaged with a failure alert (I can’t recall the exact wording) and the car quickly pulled to the right. If there had been a car to my right I would have crashed for sure. Frankly it really pisses me off. I love the Rivian but it’s borderline criminal to offer the A+ to users and even worse that they want to charge for it. Similar to Tesla - I am sure it will come around but it’s a long ways away as of today.

A+ was/is performing much better. However, quite a few of us are having similar issues like you experienced. Very random and immediate disengagement with alert. Then wouldn’t work for the rest of my long road trip. I hope this noted and being addressed in future updates.

My daily drive with A+ has been great and no issues. Very odd.
