This will be even more complicated that previous cases because their was damage to both the vehicle and the charging station. So was the fire caused by the station or the Rivian... I guess we will see some finger pointing on this one... and we will never know the truth.

I’ll go on the record as saying this had to be a Tesla false flag operation.

Damage seems concentrated around and emanating from the location of the charge port. I would assume that if it had been a battery fire then most of the car would have disintegrated.

Dispenser cables are interesting in this picture. Assume the one on the ground is the suspect... Would like pics of that end.

In the Seattle Rivians Owners group (on FB) someone posted a photo that showed the charger plug on the ground with the cable not being cut.

So I'm curious if the fire department removed the charger from the Port? Or what exactly happened.

I can't imagine unplugging it while the charger is on fire.

That guy never posted a photo of the damage, his story is very suspect. He even made some stupid comment about techs on site rebuilding the charger after the incident.
The most questionable thing is really the stupid comment.

Everyone knows EA doesn't rebuild anything the day its broken. It's takes them months to fix anything.

Plus they wouldn't be rebuilding anything, but taking things for further investigation.

I'm not surprised by the failure to post the video because at this point the lawyers are involved. The first thing a lawyer will say is to shut up on the internet.

If the charge port melted, it may have simply fallen off.
