Here’s hoping they’re testing whether regen locks up on icy declines, not just on flat surfaces as in the video. The extra weight makes a difference on slopes. That will avoid the debacle with snow mode—and even now it’s not really fixed. They need a strong antilock solution with regen, as good as standard antilock break systems are already, today.

Though that is true that I hope they're working on it, pretty sure in this video its just the filming frames and shutter speed are synching up with the wheel speed giving the optical illusion of being still. You can still see snow being sprayed backwards from the tires.

Kinda like when people film helicopters:

I'll one-up both of you. I wonder if they're validating CarPlay while they're at it.

Driver isn't drifting, he's just attempting to follow the built-in navigation.

Maybe. However, we do know Dual uses the brakes to induce yaw to help vector the truck through turns. That might be what is actually happening, specifically in rally mode, to kick the rear out in a controlled power slide.

if any of us attempted the things we see on Rivian testing videos, it feels like a hefty repair bill on the way. I personally don't feel confident enough to put the truck through anything like it as it feels like too delicate of a machine.

these are things you can do only if you are factory tester.
