So it still has a glass roof...
i love it. I’m so glad to see the glass roof.So it still has a glass roof...
Worst Insta filter ever.
I am absolutely with you. I cannot have any car that does not have glass roof. It is even good when you are waiting for your daughter to come back from her volleyball practice, you just recline the seat and enjoy the sky.i love it. I’m so glad to see the glass roof.
Lots of folks like it and it also helps with the manufacturing process.
Makes the cabin feel so open. Perfect for an adventure vehicle when you’re out in the nature. Just don’t flip it Jeep style.
I literally called it when I said R2 would be a baby R1. No need to waste money reinventing the wheel. Sell what you’ve already designed and keep strengthening your brand. Save money and hit profitability as soon as possible.
edit: this picture from @Southern R1S is worth a 1000 words.

I'm with you. The glass roof makes the screens unreadable in the bright sun. In the Florida summer, the wonderful glass roof renders the air conditioner useless.I hate fixed glass roofs... dumbest trend in the auto industry.
Pun intended? The grab handles are clutch.
I think this is specifically a thing for EVs because of the inherent fact that the battery pack WILL be at the bottom of the vehicle and the passenger compartment MUST be on "top" of it - rather than sitting "around" it like the old drive shaft "hump" - there was a hump because the floor pan was BELOW the drivetrain - in an EV the floor pan is basically "on top" of the hump, not below it - so why a glass roof? Because now to get enough headroom without significantly raising the overall vehicle height, a glass roof makes sense. It's like a cutout in the roof that gives you 2-3" of extra headroom that you can then market as "panoramic" or whatever. If you put steel up there, you must finish it in something you can't just have a strip of steel. That finishing will take space and reduce headroom.I hate fixed glass roofs... dumbest trend in the auto industry.
Don't get me wrong, I don't mind the glass. I JUST WANT IT TO OPEN!... sorry didn't mean to yell...I think this is specifically a thing for EVs because of the inherent fact that the battery pack WILL be at the bottom of the vehicle and the passenger compartment MUST be on "top" of it - rather than sitting "around" it like the old drive shaft "hump" - there was a hump because the floor pan was BELOW the drivetrain - in an EV the floor pan is basically "on top" of the hump, not below it - so why a glass roof? That doesn't mean anyone has to like it. I'm mostly indifferent. But I believe that's the reason it's SO common on EVs - it's a "trick" to keep the overall vehicle height lower than it would need to be to accommodate the same amount of headroom in the interior
(at least it has a power shade though)
