I’d love to see how quickly people receive their R2s, just that I’m still waiting on a custom R1S that’s been pushed back on delivery for three weeks with three different pickup dates cancelled. Hopefully they iron out delivery issues before it’s release.

Those of you on the list to get the first R2s better be prepared for problems. As long as you expect a ton, you won't be surprised. And if you get lucky, and this production ramp up is better than the typical production start, you will be surprised in a good way!

I’m willing to take the gamble. My R1S is VIN 1663 and I’ve had great luck with it in 43k miles.

Gravity buyers who took first delivery units had all their fingers and toes crossed, and hoped Lucid learned from all the problems with the first Air cars produced. I am sure Lucid learned, but that didn't seem to help them.
You could get lucky, but be prepared for what usually happens. It happened with Ford's ramp up of the Mach-e, and they are definitely not new at making cars.

I really hope this means they have learned and are able to maintain optimal charging and cabin cooling in 30c temps without something derating.

Fortunately I’m retired and the R2 will be an extra vehicle so if it needs a couple of shop visits it won’t be a big deal.

Eyes wide open. Early delivery R1T 7330 VIN June 2022 delivery. Had an issue with the air suspension early on that took awhile to get fixed. Other than that it's been all good. I'd be more leary but we're only about 20 minutes from the service center. Will hang on to the T until we're comfortable with the R2.

Yeah, but I find it super annoying when people with early VINs complain about all the problems. They say things like "a truck that costs this much shouldn't have any problems!" Well, dude, if you can't handle it you should have waited a year or two. Buy a Toyota in the meantime.
