Rivian started adding NACS cables at RAN stations.

Looks like Joshua tree is first, more coming over the rest of 2025

Very interesting! Great find.

I assume this was just a cable swap to an existing unit or could it have been an entire charge stall swap?

According to Google, Joshua Tree is the 2nd RAN to be put up? and Salida, CO was the first (still on CCS).

Looks like a cable swap. Joshua Tree already had V1.5 units open to other vehicles, not sure what if any internals may have been required.

Joshua Tree is only a couple months old its station like number 80 or something, Salida was the first RAN station built.

The first known NACS is Joshua Tree.

I think Joshua Tree was much later, it is one of the outpost stations they started opening. I think it opened last December, maybe November. It had the v1.5 stations when it opened.

You're right. Now I recall Yosemite Outpost came before Joshua. So which is the second one built then?

Uh... obviously?
Looks like Inyokern, CA was number 2 and Bishop, CA was number 3.

Source.

We’ve also opened two more fast charging sites along California’s US 395. The southern station in the town of Inyokern unlocks Death Valley National Park, King’s Canyon, the Southern Sierra, and electrifies the popular pilgrimage from Los Angeles to Mammoth. The northern station in Bishop can charge your explorations of places like the Inyo National Forest, the Sierra National Forest, Mono Lake and Yosemite National Park at Tioga Pass.

Does this mean there are now more RAN that can charge a CyberDumpster at its native 800V than North American Supercharger locations?

I really hope a NACS retrofit is available someday. I don't expect that anytime soon -- but someday.
Available on the next RIVIAN. Or maybe something else depending on technology.
