I am deciding whether or not to power coat my 21" wheels. Until then I used Dip Your Car's Hyperdip.

I used Anthracite Gray, about a can for each wheel. I was rotating my tires at the same time so it was easy to spray them on the ground using index cards to stop overspray on the tires. The finish is really nice - a nice improvement over the Plastidip I've used before. I think it was more forgiving in application too.

On interesting thing I've noticed is that my efficiency seems to have decreased slightly after doing this. It's possible the slightly rubbery finish on the wheels causes enough drag to show up on the efficiency meter. Time will tell. This may all be coincidental though. Temperatures are dropping, but even on recent 70º days (with A/C & heat turned off) I feel like I'm seeing a difference.

Looks great! I think the 21’s either dipped or powder coated look a lot better than stock. Changes the look of the truck

Great job! In the photos, it looks perfect.

Do you re-use the index cards in a recipe file box?

I’ve never used that application before but seems easier to touch up than powder coat. Agree with others, looks really great.
Did you have to use a liquid stripper or “rough up” the wheels first?

And the index card trick is awesome! The recipe for a great looking finish.

Looks very nice!
What was the impact on efficiency with and without the aero covers?
Could you dip the aero covers if you needed better efficiency?

No roughing up. Just good cleaning before spraying. Easy peasy!

Not sure on the aero covers. I took them off the first week of ownership.

I'll be honest, it does look great, but why gray instead of one of the blacks to go along with the rest of the yellow & black scheme?

pat----

Because everyone else does black

same reason I got yellow, because it’s different. And awesome.

This. It doesn't take long for dip to start looking funky. Its not a terribly robust product. But for now, OP's wheels look great.

Thank you, and I’ll counter with my own experience. I plastidipped the wheels on my 2013 F150 a month of so after I bought it new. I reapplied once, about 5 years ago. The wheels still looked great when I pulled the dip off before selling earlier this year.

Surface prep and proper application help immensely.

Hmmm. Maybe all the cars I see on the road with crummy half dipped wheels or wheels with large pieces removed just did it poorly.

I've never dipped myself just speaking from all the poorly done vehicles I've seen around which pushes me away from the product...
