No overhang, it sits pretty much flush if not a little bit inside the truck frame.
it also does not block my rear view mirror!
It’s a cargo box. We’re in the market for a hard shell tent as well. I found out at the store that this box can actually mount via the hitch and swing out of the way with the Yakima Exo mount. Which will be perfect for when we go camping.
So guess I'm just surprised or curios not trying to knock you. But with the frunk, cab, under seat storage, gear tunnel and the bed you still need more storage space?

I already have the Exo SwingBase with bike racks and ski racks for my Wrangler, was holding off on the cargo box to see if I really need it with a truck. It sure would be nice for my Wrangler, but not sure how long I will still have the Jeep
But I will still use the Exo on my R1T for skis and bikes, maybe this cargo box if I need it. That way I can use the crossbars and bed for my RTT when that time comes! Nice truck and the cargo box looks great on the bars too!
We’re carrying an unusually large amount of stuff back from a 1000 mile road trip visiting family. Otherwise the truck storage is more than enough. It’ll also be useful when we go on an extended camping/skiing trip.

You may want to double check that with Yakima. I was looking at this box as well and the Yakima website has the following point under the description: "Can not be used with EXO system"I have the same plans as well when my R1T comes. After seeing a Reddit post, I went and picked up a Yakima Deep Space 10. It fits and looks great over the bed. Will help carry stuff we acquired on our 1000 mile trip back home.
