Its not near as common as a 5-15P. Easy solution is to buy an adapter to get your 5 extra amps :)

You can make or buy your own 5-20 to 14-50 adapter, use the Rivian mobile charger with the 14-50 plug, dial down the amps to 16A and you’re good to go.

now you've got me wondering what Rivian is using all those pins for.
Same as Tesla, they tell the EVSE which dongle is attached and what amperage it can handle. Unfortunately, while Tesla sells a dongle for nearly every outlet, Rivian only has the two. Amazon has adapters for nearly anything, and it's easy to build one.

CRITICAL: Be sure adapters are for EVSEs and not for other purposes, they can be different.
