Where is the Standard Pack?

I thought I had been keeping up with the forum the past couple months; but maybe I missed it... Just received the invite to configure my R1S and come to find out that Standard pack isn't an option?!?!?!?!

My guess is they just released the Max Pack so the Standard Pack won't come for a while as they will naturally space out these products for maximum marketing gain.

I also heard that the Standard Pack will be LFP...but could be wrong. Additionally the new battery will need endurance testing, additional Q&A, & EPA testing before release.

Has anyone heard anything about a release date for the Standard Pack?

Currently shipping EDV are using the standard pack. Seems more likely that they are just all allocated to that.

This^ unless they run out of demand then we may see standard pack sooner so that can continue to move units. If there is high demand for max and large still i would expect Standard pack to be pushed out. All my opinion of course.

Rivian will prioritize the highest margin units. Plus standard is even lower margin because it can't be paired with Quad or Dual Motor Performance... Base dual motor variant only.

There will definitely be a standard pack. Just no set date for that to be sold.

At this point I kind of get Explore Trim vibes from the Standard pack. I'd genuinely be surprised if it ended up releasing for R1.

I've seen multiple EV pages on YouTube say that the Standard Range Dual Motor is the best option. Because you are able to charge it to 100% daily without damaging the battery. The vehicle will still be the same exterior and interior-wise.. I'm leaning towards getting this for the R1T. We have the Quad Motor R1S and we definitely don't need all that horsepower ... although it is nice to have.

RJ just said “early 2024” in the earnings call on Nov 7th. Rumors flying around that could ship in March and be in configuration in 1-2 months. The tech is already in the EDVs, so no need to test it.
