I haven't seen anything about it since the AI Day. Alexa is useless, and this new assistant looked amazeballs.

It will be available when it's ready. Not part of upcoming OTA (2026.03). No one outside of Rivian knows their development schedule. If they do they are under obligation to keep mouth shut.

Coming from a Tesla one month ago, I can tell you with no hesitation that the new assistant / intelligence is way more important to me than self driving.

Biggest things I miss on a day to day basis from my prior vehicle:
- being able to ask it to navigate to places and have it pick the right place and begin navigation (Alexa is useless - it seems like she isn’t integrated into the google map ecosystem)
- having my calendar integrated so the car knows if I have an appointment soon and can auto plot nav
- having text messages appear, be read to me and for me to be able to reply
- having my seats and steering wheel heaters automatically sync’d to my desired temp (start cooling if the cabin is hot / start heating if the cabin is cold then turn down and off as the correct temp is achieved)
- having my mirrors know if there has been snow and automatically turn on their heaters

…seemingly simple, logical “smart vehicle“ concepts that keep me looking at the road and paying attention to driving vs. tapping on the screen. I know they aren’t actually all easy, or other cars would do it. But Rivian shouldn’t be comparing to other cars - it should be as good or better than Tesla.

They will not release it until they have done everything possible to make it stable for the owners! It will be a game changer when it hits.

I feel like there was an "early next year" reference at Autonomy day by Wassym. I am anxiously waiting! They followed through with Gen1 Launch Mode as they said they would.

Rivian has never done that before with any of their previous launches. But I really hope you are right.

We really need an eye roll reaction on this forum.
