    Remember when BMW floated the idea of heated seats being a subscription service? $10 a month be warm in the winter. It didn't go over well and they canned the idea.

    Agreed. My Model S and Model X just held things like snow chains, charger adapters, etc. But 6 weeks in and I use the R1S' frunk aaaaaaaall the time. Take out? No smelly cabin, yes please. Shopping at the mall? Not visible and more secure, yes please. Same with my wife's purse or my laptop bag...

    The issue (as many Mach E users on this thread have pointed out) is that Ford noticed nobody uses the frunk. So, instead of going “why is that and can we fix it?” they decided it’s optional. But if it had an exterior release or a release on the key fob, it might get more use.

They are the exact same size as the Pirelli Scorpions that came from the factory on my brand new R1S and the are uniquely EV designed - meaning it's lighter than the likes of a BFG AO3, has an aerodynamic sidewall (AeroWing) to help maintain range and a specialized tread compound...
