What happened to "mute" on driving directions?

I have used "Alexa navigate to..." quite a bit. For multiple months there was an icon that allowed you to turn off the voice (SUPER annoying some times like going through roundabouts) that seems to have disappeared. I found I can quickly turn down the Alexa volume (independent of the music volume) but that's not a great solution.

Has this option moved somewhere else? Does anyone have a hack? The voice intrusion makes the navigation unusable for me.

Ya this one threw me off too. I went to press it and it was gone and I had to listen to Alexa navigate me out of my neighborhood

First thing I ALWAYS do in every car...mute the nav voice, I have enough people nagging at me in life that I don't need MY CAR added to the list! ?

I have it set to chime instead of using the voice. Much more tolerable.

I don't use maps with my wife is in the car....she always knows where we are going and she tells me what lane to get in, when it is safe to move over. The best thing is she alerts me when to stop and not hit the car that is a 1/8 mile in front of us. It is "Are you going to stop, are you going to stop?".....LOL

Hang on to that wife. You didn't mention "constant monitoring and comments on speed". If that omission was not simply an oversight, you have a prize worth keeping.
