What does the 60 Day Trial of Connect+ include?

Color me dumb. What exactly does this 60 day trial include? Is there anything in there that we have to have? Is there anything in there that is crucial to the operation of the vehicle? Does the 60 day trial begin upon downloading the .27 update, or does it begin when you are first offered the update? While I realize that data is the new bacon, I am not quite there yet. It began about a week ago for everyone. Reports of some people being extended due to a pause in rollout of the update to some vehicles.
You'll still get nav, traffic, routing, and remote features without it
With it you'll be able to use hotspot data, stream to the native apps, satellite images, and in the future the live camera views
You can accomplish streaming to the native apps if you tether to a phone as a hotspot though as well since they allow that now.

Nothing should actually change. The trial should give you exactly what you have now, for free, for another ~60 days. The update also included some Alexia/Apple Music stuff. But generally it is more of a notification that the data service will be included for another ~60 days.

My question is, when do you get the option to pay monthly vs. annually? Will something pop up on the screen/your app and ask you?

I'm pretty sure what you're describing here has always been there. The "moderate" (I think that's what its called) setting has been there a while. This update/trial is referencing the data charges which will come later.

Apps on the Rivian which require data (satellite view navigation, Spotify, etc) won't work unless you connect to your phone.

Don't forget about "priority updates". That was something that was mentioned by rivian for those that subscribe to connect+.

It is seeming like Rivian wants me to start paying for services that are not yet being offered. It's kind of like my several years of free RAN charging while there is no RAN anywhere near me. And don't forget the auto driving features that are only on roadways far away from here. And to top it off, my "60 day free trial" is running while I still don't have access to the .27 update. Rivian's business model seem to be one size fits all.

No. The vehicle will continue to have data, but your access to it will be limited. Remote features will work, unknown if [live?] "traffic" will update.
