So after trouble-free riding for first 4000 miles hit a snafu today. After a 40 mile drive and a 2-3 hour break, I got back in the car to see warning lights everywhere. No proximity sensors, no collision avoidance, no lane keep, no height adjustment...

Drove it to inlaws without problem albeit stuck on all purpose standard height and without proximity sensors.

Tried soft and then hard reset and let it rest for a couple of hours.

No change. Drove it home and after 30 miles the proximity sensors suddenly came back and worked for the last 10 miles.

But in driveway I realized the suspension still wasn't working. Saw a message that "air compressor was overheated". That also feels like a sensor given ride height hadn't changed in hours and the compressor hasn't been used so hard to figure why it would be overheated.

I had never seen any sensors before and got all these at once.

Anybody been down this rabbit hole?

Call Rivian service and have them walk you through a few things. They’ll get you going in the right direction.

Oh yes, I did that right away. At first I thought it was just the proximity sensors so I had a call just on that.

The person said they had gotten a spate of those (update related?). But that my version of it coming back mid ride seemed unique. Person seemed surprised the hard reset didn't fix.

Then I called again when I saw that message about the compressor that I took a picture of. That person seemed to think it was hardware and I said maybe but really more likely sensor given it had been stuck in same ride height and had been off for quite a while. Also, that warning light came up simultaneously with the proximity lights. Occam's razor.

Anyhow, we did a ticket. They want me to do a deep sleep cycle, then hard reset, and report back.

We will see. Just wondering if someone had this same presentation of multisystem errors and if it just "went away" or if this proved sticky.

When you have many unrelated errors coming suddenly out of the blue then some go away the same way that is a usual sign of either harness wear or connection problem at an ECU.
Most probably can only be figured it out at the SC.

I have not had anything like this, but I feel like when I’ve read about it happening to others it does require a service center visit. I hope the sleep cycle works though! ??

Aw man, must be nice to get christmas mode before everyone else.

Only time I'd ever seen a message about overheating it was on the center display after messing around with the new leveling feature for nearly an hour last year when they first launched it. Guessing you have an issue that's going to require involving Rivian service.

Yes, I believe this will not just go away. The one time I needed the Miami service center, they were great and not too delayed. As long as truck remains driveable for a while, I'm good.

I had those issues long time back, except the ride height issue. Though I probably did not try to change the ride height. Never happened again.

Addendum: After putting the truck into a very deep sleep over night and doing both a soft and hard reset, all systems are currently nominal. No warning lights and normal functionality.

I will now await this particular gremlin's reappearance at the worst possible moment in time.
