Vent windows rarely works

Hot climate here. I try to utilize the vent windows feature to help get some fresh air inside but the phone app almost always struggles to complete the task. It tries and tries but at some point just gives up. I can press it several times to no avail. However once in a while I get lucky and it works. Is there a secret or method to getting it to work or is it just baked in as a super unreliable feature?

Always works when I use it. Maybe your vehicle doesn't have great cell reception? Do other remote controls like locks work reliably?

With all the app controls I have learned to hit it once and wait 10+ seconds to see if it starts. If I get impatient and push the button multiple times it may or may not end up working.

Hitting the fan button will engage the climate control in the vehicle (usually for A/C). You can also vent all four windows from the app:

If the windows are vented, you'll see an option to close them instead.

Yep, this is what I do. At times it takes the vehicle a minute to wake up, I’m guessing.

Same issue here. I just remote unlock, then vent, and relock. Works quickly then.

You can vent without unlocking the vehicle - I do it all of the time. I wouldn't want to remotely unlock my ride, even for a couple of seconds, without being able to see it.

when you open the app, pick the "4 squares" icon, and then when the next screen shows up you can pick "Vent Windows" and then it will change to "CLOSE WINDOWS" if you want to close them.

Never had problems with it. More likely to do with your phone’s or car’s connectivity and cellular coverage.

We had a service guy Josef come by and explained that sometimes the window itself in the vehicle has to be recalibrated .
they could do it either on a remote visit or if you take it to the center .
we’ve been having a problem where in one of our RS or RT Where the window would keep opening up without being prompted to come to find out it’s a calibration issue for the window once we had that done it’s working fine so perhaps you need to put in a service ticket

Same. Only time I've had an issue was if the truck had poor cell reception, as someone else mentioned.

I have the exact opposite problem. Vent always works for me but close windows doesn’t. My rear passenger window doesn’t like to auto up so it stays open.
