Valet Mode parking?

I have avoided valet parking. I don’t have the key fob with me to make it easier. I also don’t want the valet to have the full power of the car. I am assuming a valet mode will be coming in an update.

I guess the best thing is to avoid valet parking for now but I was wonder what others have done.

Like Tesla, a valet mode would be great but who knows. It may never happen with Rivian.

If I know I am going have to use valet, I bring the fob. If I don't know and have to valet, then I give them the card and tell them where the card need to be since its a different location than Tesla.

I came out from dinner and the R1T was still sitting dead in the middle of the poor guys parking area...nightmare for him. Large tip ensued. DON’T FORGET YOUR FOB! Haha

There’s no reason Rivian couldn’t create a Valet mode. I can’t imagine it would be too difficult, so I’m surprised they haven’t done it yet.

Didn't know. Never have used the card. When we picked the vehicle up, they set it up for the phone so the card just went in my wallet next to the Tesla card.

Yup - I had to give valet my phone the other day to take/retrieve my car. Didn't want to take a bag and only realised half way there that I needed to valet it. They were helpful/happy to take the phone once I explained the issue.

Fully agree, and me too.

Add me to the list of those that think this would be a great addition. I would like a Valet Mode that limits the features a valet has access to. No frunk or lift gate access. Access to only the minimal features required to park the vehicle. Max speed 35MPH. Notification if the vehicle travels more that a mile after Valet Mode is engaged. Etc.

With a vehicle capable of 0-60 in 3 seconds I can’t shake the vision of Cameron’s dad’s airborne Ferrari.

Just took my R1T through MA inspection. While I'm waiting my turn it occurred to me that if I didn't leave my phone in the truck the inspector couldn't inspect it! We only use our phones but do carry the card for backup, but the thought of trying to explain the use of the card gave me a headache. Made for a boring time in the waiting room with no phone.

You are expecting people to pay attention to little details like that. I have GearGuard footage of the techs at Discount Tire trying to figure out how to open my car with the key-card. They literally tapped it on every surface of the door EXCEPT for the handle.
