Okay, now I'm curious... If you have Connect+ why did you use your phone as a hotspot to download the update? The whole point of Connect+ is to provide a full-time Internet connection.
How does Connect+ provide full-time internet connection? Where I live, both the ATT and Verizon (my phone) signals are weak, but as I drive around, I pass through both ATT and V territory. Which one does Connect+ use? I seem to have Connect+ working now; does my wife have to have her own, paid subscription? Same question regarding Apple Music, which I guess is included with Rivian Assistant - does she have to have her own Apple Music subscription?

I wanted to see how ridiculous that I spent last 3 days trying to see if my vehicle can connect to the servers to download the update and for it to be able to get it thru a hotspot while driving home - needs WiFi. So figured fuckit my iPhone has hotspot.
I guess everyone else is cool with a 4 day old new vehicle not getting a download with a prepaid year of Connect + parked less than 10 feet from a WiFi 6 e router with 5 gig has anything but but luck in the roll out queue.
The bad info and notion that "coincidence bro, sucks to suck"you just literally reset your vehicle and a half hour later there's a message that it's now ready. Literally with the Rivian Roamer dashboard showing idle in software section. Mind you it already has 07 - then to go check Rivian Roamer again to see the entire software section on the dashboard somehow show everything I'm assuming populated; and not only the 60 day trial connect. But a year prepaid.
I don't know. Rivian might not be as sophisticated as you all think.
I also have a i7 that's only glitch is losing eSIM whenever there's an update. I know about resetting a vehicle.
I'm fairly technical and have a degree in network systems administration.
But yeah - luck of the draw
Connect+ makes you earlier, not first. It's like getting TSA PreCheck, there can still be lines. They don't deploy to the entire Connect+ fleet on Day 1. Being technical means you should understand why.

Connect+ is a software subscription, not a connectivity mechanism.

The cellular connections in Rivian use AT&T. It's recommended you connect to Wifi at home.
