I've noticed a weird behavior that has now happened twice since the last update (and never before in over a year of ownership) where my Frunk has decided to open itself unprompted and no notification comes to the app to let me know its open. Both times I've been no where near the car when this happened and not using the app.

At least the car isn't moving when it happens. Glass half full my friend.

Almost certainly because you accidentally and unknowingly activated it via the app or shortcuts. Like butt dialing. This is why I don't use app widgets. And there's no chance that could happen while driving.

It’s posssble but my butt has not changed in 13 months of ownership and if true I would still expect a notification that something is open like happens when I intentionally open it and don’t close it.

I dont get notified when my frunk is opened....if I check the app it will show it is opened...but no proactive "hey, your frunk just opened'

Unless that is an airplay feature that us cooler Android users don;t have?

Is the app open in the background? I would be tempted to delete the app and see. If it has happened twice in a week this should be easy to eliminate. Careful where parked for clearance and may as well remove any items up front.

I swear it's because I read this thread, but I came out of a meeting today to see my frunk fully open as it's parked on the street. I keep two umbrellas in the top part of the frunk and one was missing. Watching the gear guard video I clearly see someone helping themselves to the umbrella after trying to get into the Rivian. It's replacable, but I'm still frustrated.

I did have a shortcut on my Apple watch to open the frunk and I supposed I might have inadvertently bumped it (although it takes two presses), but I just removed it so it cannot happen again.

Happened to me once; never reoccurred.

When you push the physical button to open the frunk, does it noticeably pop back? Or does it stay depressed?

I've experienced a few failed buttons of this style (non-Rivian related) where the button stayed in a depressed state, making it think it was always being pushed.

Not that I've ever noticed...I've never had this problem before - and hopefully I won't ever again!
