Anyone have any experience yet with getting tires rotated in Northern VA or Montgomery County, MD? I'm thinking the R1T may be a challenge for your average NTP/Pep Boys/Mr. Tire...
I've called around and almost every shop I speak with has said they won't even try. One independent shop (who handles a lot of large commercial trucks) said they would give it a try, and they confirmed their alignment software did have the Rivian R1T listed... But when I asked probing questions about how they would lift it, I did not get a warm and fuzzy feeling. They weren't going to be careful or concerned about proper procedure, and were probably going to end up lifting by the battery pack.
If you live near a SC, then you should plan on paying Rivian for all of your maintenance.
If you don't live near a SC, I don't think buying a Rivian is a smart move. I am coming to terms with the fact I am not a smart man.
