2025.14.01 seems to have knocked out my artwork :(

I tried the log out, soft reset to hard reset to log in, and unfortunately no luck.

I don’t have a TuneIn account so haven’t tried that one.

Aaaaand it seems you can’t link Tidal to Alexa in Canada. That’s dumb.

I’ve been having seemingly random Tidal artwork issues for a couple of years. I may have found a work around (or maybe it was a coincidence). I switched audio sources to my phone then back to Tidal again and the artwork re-appeared. I can’t test it again until I lose the artwork again.

This is my biggest pet peeve with Tidal. We had Spotify and Tidal for years, but decided to go all Tidal because I prefer the quality. Unfortunately we have Amazon Alexa and in Canada, you can't get the two to play nice. I've even tried changing to an american account, and it still won't allow it. Annoying.

The album art thing is acatully an annoying Tidal Rivian quirk. It's been an issue for ever and sometimes swapping to spotify, playing a couple songs, then going back to tidal will resolve it, but not always.

Spotify on the other hand has zero issues loading album art.

I'm finding it very very hard not to switch back.

This is the first time I’ve had the art issue in almost 2 years owning my truck. Oh well it isn’t a big deal but is a bit annoying.

I also encounter this problem frequently, basically any time there's a reboot with tidal active. One thing that to this point has always worked for me is to switch to the radio, do a soft reset, and then switch back. Haven't had to do the log in/out business. The important bit always seems to be that it doesn't launch back into tidal automatically when it boots back up.

If I remember correctly it's some sort of caching problem. I'd have to speculate as to why but I suspect that when you do a soft/hard reboot it dumps the cache and the software needs to launch a particular way to cue it to download it again.

My artwork is also gone and none of the methods have helped. It's so frustrating because the search is so bad that most of the time you need the artwork to find the right song.

I used to have this problem and finally figured it out after three years. Do you have a second driver profile in your Rivian? If so, switch over to that profile and go to Tidal. Once that artwork loads, go to your profile and then go to Tidal. The artwork should show up then.

Thanks for the suggestion. The artwork didn't load in the second profile either. I tried disabling WiFi which also didn't work.

Dead thread, but just wanted to mention that I haven't been able to consistently get the artwork to show in Apple Music in what seems like forever, despite frequent resets. Weirdly, sometimes the artwork will show in the widget on the driver-side screen and be absent on the music window on the main screen. So the artwork is in there somewhere—it just won't display in the main screen part of the app. I'm not sure if Tidal continues to give trouble as well, but Apple Music is definitely problematic in my Gen1 R1S.

Yes, I noticed that behavior in the Tidal app as well. The artwork is being successfully served by Tidal and downloaded by the Rivian app. But then it goes south.

So the story that it's Tidal's fault is not true. It would be great if Rivian asked the intern to fix this bug.
