Just texting with my guide - looks like those of us recently notified of pending delivery can rejoice. The train has left Normal, IL. South SF is probably last on the line, but happy to hear it is actually on the move.

Great news! Also waiting on a south SF delivery and same recent timelines around config locking and 8 steps...(although I preordered on 11/27/2018!!!). I've pieced together that the rail may stop in socal first and then make its way up here based on the earlier R1T deliveries that started happening by rail. Probably 3 weeks out or so. The rail strike could throw a wrench in all of this, in a very bad way, but their deadline for negotiations are 4 weeks out.

Sorry big guy, it's loaded with Max pack T's destined for Vancouver BC. They did say they wanted to get me into a vehicle "soon" so this must be the train

It’s incredibly odd to me that we’re 3 years apart in preorders but theoretically meeting the same day for delivery.

I'm an S. Originally a T and switched to an S a few days later when they were announced and opened up. This was back when they said S manufacturing and delivery would be just a few months behind the T...but that turned out to be a whole lot longer . Order and delivery timing are a bit mysterious still, I ran into a few S deliveries here in the bay area who preordered >2 years after me as well. Same config, non employees.... All good, I'm just hoping to make it in under the 4 year mark but it'll be close!

Identical config here. You ordered five months after I did, got invited to the eight steps one day after I did, and got your truck in transit six days after mine left for the PNW.

Rivian is running a tighter ship.

I was a bit worried about getting an end of quarter vehicle, but now I'm wondering when the second shift hit its stride. I'll find out in early November! I'll be the weirdo having a pleasure drive during a pineapple express downpour.

I wonder if wall charger delivery is a meaningful measure for vehicle delivery timelines. Based on past deliveries, does anybody know if there is a general timeline from delivery of Rivian wall charger to delivery of the truck?

Curious if you've received any updates on the westbound journey between the train leaving Normal and today?

I received a text from my Guide this morning, and he said that the truck will be at the South SF SC next week!

I’ll wrap up the 8 steps over the weekend. Financing a portion of it so that’ll be the long-pole (BofA).
